May buy this 2005 Jeep Liberty

Once the thread has been started I doubt people will care.. with a lot of us, our jeep is our backup vehicle or seasonal.. heck I drive a 2014 mkz, and my mustang when it's nice.. but I'll always prefer driving the Jeep (biggthumpup)

What do people think on Synthetic Motor Oil

I'd rather not pay the money for it when a quart is gunna be gone in 3k miles anyways.. but respectively I'm not going to argue with someone who says it's a good idea. Just not needed IMO, keep up on your oil maintainence and you'll be just fine using regular Dino oil.. I use semi-synthetic, but...

May buy this 2005 Jeep Liberty

Willing to bet it's rockers are pretty eaten up, and likely the floor as well. By new muffler and exhaust is loud.. but he likes it loud.. I'm willing to bet that means "I have an exhaust leak or catalytic convertor problem and don't know where to look or how to fix it" You can find an XJ for...

May buy this 2005 Jeep Liberty

I'd go take a look at the second if it's close, why not? As for the first, I'm telling you just say "sorry but I wouldn't be willing to offer more than ___" Worst he can say is no.. if it were me, I'd put 450 in the blank, and be ready to spend another 4-5 hundred in parts.. Chances are it's a...

Coolant leak no puddle on ground

Had a nearly identical crack awhile back.. put a couple thick layers of a jbweld product on it for a long time. But I wouldn't suggest a quick fix, I'd just get a new radiator.. I only did, because I was a broke college kid at the time, but our engines aren't fans of overheating..

2002 Liberty No elec to fuel pump

How do you know there's nothing from the fuel pump? Or that there's no electric to it? Did you unplug the connector to the fuel pump and check voltage at it with the key turned to ON?? Start with checking fuses and see if anything blew. But if so, don't just replace it and think it's the end...

    3.7L Performance

If anything that only builds the case of the "naysayers".. I drive like an asshat everywhere I go, and average 18.4 for the last 7600 miles.. probably 70-80% of which is "city driving".. Why would you want to delete the muffler anyways? When I replaced my muffler I ran it just to hear the tone...

    Inside Frame rust prevention

My post regarding cavity wax contains a link to 3M's site where you can view the rust preventative. Any foams would be sealed off by this. The cavity wax is applied by inserting a long wand into the openings and pulling the trigger while you pull the wand back out.. it has a 360 degree spray...

    Inside Frame rust prevention

Closed cell foams, which he referred to, are water resistant.

    transmission slips when cold

Mines had a hesitation from park to drive for.. almost a year I'd say. Imo, it seems more cost effective and sensible to do a fluid and filter change than to just jump to getting a new transmission.. who knows how long the tray could hang in there for, could be a month or could be 5 years.

    Antifreeze disappearing

My bad, guess I missed the part about the radiator replacement lol, good catch.. If it was leaking into the combustion chambers wouldn't he have fouled plugs? And perhaps be having a less than optimal idle?

    Inside Frame rust prevention

Cavity Wax Plus - Featured Products - Products Used to be known as 3m "rust fighter" but ended up getting kicked for not being voc compliant, so in comes cavity wax. Works wonders. Comes with 3 different length wands too

    Antifreeze disappearing

If it's still happening I doubt it's because of an air pocket.. like its been said already, just fill it in the proper way and there won't be air pockets, any remainingood air will make its way to the overflow reservoir. I'd bet on the radiator as well.. if you can't find a leak when it's...

Pictures of 02-04 cut or trimmed bumpers?

Mock it up where you want to cut with masking tape so you can create the edge you want/change it around to find what you're lookin for.. Then use a cutoff wheel at a moderately low/medium speed and deburr the edge after you cut it Remember to take into consideration where you'll want to cut your...

Pictures of 02-04 cut or trimmed bumpers?

^^Damn that's slick. Side note, if you're bored/curious enough you can look back through the what did you do to your jeep today thread and find plenty of them.. pretty sure I remember seeing a couple that Tom put up of his rear bumper as well IIRC

    P0122

Truth be told, when I changed my TPS and IAC... I didn't do it either lol. I do the same though, if a connectors getting unplugged, I'll always disconnect the negative cable.. But I know I didn't disconnect both terminals, let alone touch them together.. Just saying that I'm pretty sure it's...

    P0122

Doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. Just double checked one of tjkj's comments in a previous thread and he stated its slightly different, he says to Leave it disconnected for 10 minutes then touch the two terminals together.

Yessir. Id imagine so..Though it's more of a discharge than calibration.. I believe he's asking calibration as in a vehicle with drive by wire.. Nonetheless, you'll want to tape them up for a bit.
