with the hayden 679 being a stacked plate cooler instead of a tube one, and with it having a rating of 10,000 lbs, i would say you will be fine with temps. but you won't know for sure until you monitor the temp. try b&m's stand alone trans temp guage! mike
yes! a guy with a screen name colorado in another forum sold his just north of 325,000 miles. original 3.7L and 42rle. he did replace i believe the alternator and the ac compressor. mike
ms 9224 spec is syncromesch fluid
i have changed mine twice with penzoil syncromesh (i don't believe in lifetime fluids). it states right on the bottle ms9224.
takes around 2 quarts. i bought 3 just to be safe.
be sure to wipe the metal off the magnetic drain plug! mike
p.s. i see...
thanks for the knowledge! it is vary clear the belts are made of different materials, depending on what auto parts store you go to! on my 06 (which was poly from the factory) it lasted 39,000 miles and 4 years, before three big cracks appeared on the smooth side. i don,t mind cracks on the rib...
no harm done! but you are going to mess your pants on this one. dayco's have epdm in them!
cut and paste:
"Constructed with Aramid reinforced EPDM compounds, the Dayco “W” profile serpentine belt delivers more than OE required quality...it delivers the solution to troublesome drive problems...
according to allpar the 3.7L came with a polly belt from the factory!
cut and paste:
" An automatic tensioner for the single serpentine poly-vee belt makes adjustment unnecessary for the life of the belt."

06's in this area, with 40k are selling between 12,000-15,000
i believe the cut off date was march 16th 2006. i know i have the "good" regulators since mine was made in 8-05. mike
