i removed the bolt and nut from ball joint bracket. then took a 2x4 and jacked the 2x4 up with a floor jack under the upper control arm. comes out in a minute!
i don't think it is the uca. i think it is the lca's
temperature here is 80 degree days 53 degree nights. it only started after my lca recall replacement. hotter than that when they were replaced.
i will wait till it gets colder to see if it changes at all. mike
that is 3 cases of squeaks after lca recall replacements.
another interseting fact is mine goes away in rain storms. i assume the water is acting as a lubricant and stopping the squeak? mike
i just bought one from my dealer for $379. i am in ohio also and mine was pretty rusty. you are going to have to see if yours is in good shape.
right now i have new lca's, new upper control arm and new shocks. i have the same creak you have and i have been trying to find it also. mine also...
if you have a 2005-2006 it is tsb: 09-007-06. it deals valve locks not letting the valves rotate and burning cylinder #2 or cylinder #5 valves. those plugs did not cause your problem!
well i spoke too soon (egg on my face). had a clunking in the rear that was not resolved by the recall on the lca's. so i took the 1 year old upper rear control arm out to inspect the bushings. here is what they looked like.
mortified i went and bought the mopar one at the dealer and it's...
$14 dollars of gas at 3.70 a gallon = 3.783 gallons. i propose the gas guage is reading correct, because it is a 20.5 gallon tank. and 3.783 gallons would be just below a quarter tank. i hope you didn't damage the fuel pump running it dry twice? maybe that is the cause of the drivability...
the springs were updated for the 3.7L in 2005. they (the old) were made by the same supplier that made the valve springs in the lexus recalls. it is an industry wide problem that seems to have been rectified around 2005 in the industry. but for the 3.7L it had many valve train changes in 2005. mike
the clutch release bearing spins when the clutch pedal is in. sounds like you need a whole clutch job! i would stop driving because you don't want to tear up your input Shaft over a 25 dollar throw out bearing. mike
champion labs recently bought the fram line. that base plate is similiar to the ecore base plate with out the tin cover plate. it is just champion labs getting the product lines more similiar. i agree less metal! mike
i heard people having trouble getting timing belt parts even the water pump! aftermarket parts are non-existent and dealer parts are slow to arrive? mike
