Weak door mirrors, perhaps switch.

It may be hard to see, but in the top two pictures almost all of the metal is gone and it is broken on the tire side of the ball joint. Dome light question
2002 Limited here as well, and mine does the same thing. I just hit the unlock button, and if need be hit the dome light. Then end up forgetting that I turned it on and proceed to drive with the dome light on until I'm at my destination or too annoyed to continue.- Charlesthe2nd

Getting the lift itch
Can confirm on need to re-gear. I get horrible gas mileage. Also, I end up leaving overdrive off and switching b/t 1st and 2nd while driving around town, so essentially doubling down on my poor gas mileage. My next upgrade will be a re-gear. Stock reverse lamps are very dim. I didn't realize there was an upgrade for them, pretty cool. I added a 10w 5 LED reverse light that mounts directly to my license plate.
