    Painting wheels

If they are the same style as the stock Liberty rims, then I'd say that you need to strip the coating off them. That coating can bubble and crack over time. I had my stock rims sand blasted and powder coated, great way to re-purpose them instead of tossing them for new ones. Only cost $40...

Transmission Fluid Flush- Dealership, Aamco or Local Shop

You're right, it'll be a lot cheaper to do it yourself. Most expensive thing is the fluid itself. Then having the drain plug in the pan is a game changer, just cycle in new fluid. Changing the transmission fluid out in intervals is probably just as good as a full fluid change. I'm a...

So when are one of you guys gonna drop one of these in a KJ?

I've been drooling over the R2.8. A fantastic engine for sure. It'd be cheaper to buy engine outright, find a junked TJ or YJ, and slam it in there. They make kits to swap the cummins straight into them, obvious choice. Also it's capable of this, I present to y'all TUBE SOCK!!

That's the same for me, haven't bothered messing with the pocket. When I rang up JBA to ask him about my predicament, he mentioned that it's important to cut the pocket down to eliminate the UCA from making contact, because that contact can cause the UCA to crack or cause stress fractures...

Good news everybody First off, y'all are all a great group of Jeepers, I really appreciate all the information shared, and not making me feel like an idiot, even though it's clear that I am.:gr_grin: I talked to Marlin and he said the UCA are ok, even with that much material...

    Bulbs - 9007/HB5 and 9145

Agree as well. I run the same setup and it is a huge improvement over the stock bulb. For the back roads and I have a 13k lumen light bar, spot beam, mounted to the bumper, plenty of light when everything is on.

    Towing Post Lift

25.5" over here. I'm guessing that's mostly because of the RL rear bumper. I have the integrated hitch option. Seems beefy enough, but then again I've never tried to tow 1.5t over the rockies with it. How safe are drop hitches? I've never needed to use one. 3" is a lot different than...

    Towing Post Lift

Great information all around. Leveling out the trailer seems to be the most important thing to keep in mind. I think I'll end up buying a drop hitch that is 6" just to be on the safe side. I want to be sure that there is enough drop, because it seems like the WDH puts the ball up a little...

    Towing Post Lift

I'll be towing a 6x10 that I plan on buying in the next week or two, then adding breaks and the weight distribution hitch to it. I feel like the WDH is a must since our trip is so long. I plan on maxing out the trailer, so 3500lb range; the brakes will also keep us safer and put less stress on...

    Towing Post Lift

Very interested in hearing feedback on this  I've got the same setup basically, and plan to tow a +/- 3500lb trailer from California to New Jersey. With the stops along the way, it'll be 5000mi. I'll be using a weight distribution hitch, and that has a drop hitch on it already...

    Snorkel

Y'all give the kid a break! He is gonna need that snorkel when doing all those deep water crossings in NH when he's taking a car full of ladies on a camping trip. Plenty of great wheeling and back roads in NH and the North East Kingdom of VT. XMS02KJ, what do you have on your Liberty...

Rear single seat removal Liberty 2005

Why not leave the single seat in there as a "jump seat". That leaves a lot more room for building out a drawer, or for a fridge slide that could be accessed via the passenger door. There just is not a lot of room in the liberty, gotta be innovative. Then again, you could just make it fit...

    Aussie TJM Springs

You'll probably need to find an Aussie to give you feedback on those springs. I'd try and locate a forum that they use over there, using ".au" should help you find it when searching google. Why are you interested in finding more about them? I doubt anyone here on KJ country has them...

    7-Pin Harness

I found these two different options that might work. Just want confirmation that I'm getting the right part. This is a Hopkins replacement, and the connector looks to be the right size/pin style. This one seems to be a OEM replacement, but I can't tell if it's the right connector on the back

    7-Pin Harness

Needing to tow with my Jeep soon and I need to replace the 7-pin harness that the trailer wiring plugs into. When I had the rear bumper installed, they never put the harness back on so I'm left with just the connector. The Jeep has the tow package and everything so she's wired up for towing...

Thanks for the tip on rim sizes. I'll be going with whatever is cheapest honestly, so more sizes to choose from should help me find the best price.
