    42in light bar

Illuminating the night is an important part of offroading and adventure travel. Good to have a light bar, and like JasonJ said, bad when it's mounted improperly. You'll get a lot of light coming out of the bar, but the usable light is something else. I think the main issue you'll have will be...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Pictures or it didn't happen :gr_grin::gr_grin: Really tho, everyone wants to see how she looks now. My guess is like a beast!!

    On a Mission: 50mph rumble

I hope you don't get any clunks, they are hard to address sometimes. No, its a consistent thump as I move forward, i.e. you can hear it every revolution of the tires. I think my intermediate shaft is shot, or it is my front driveshaft. Either way, lots of things to take apart to figure it...

    Rear lower shock mount extensions

For now, he is happy and fixed his problem. Y'all are right that it will break in the long run. When it does he can put a longer shock in. For the $ though, 30 instead of 200 for a new set of shocks to replace shocks that still work is an easy choice.

    Rear lower shock mount extensions

Having the shock ext. gives you a little more flex out of that ironman shock, smart tinkering. You had an issue and found a solution that works for you. Good on ya!

    Goodridge G-Stop Brake Line Kit

I'm interested to see how you like it and how it performs.

Are JBA UCA's as necessary as Marlin Gehman makes them sound?

I have the JBA SS brake line kit sitting in the basement, waiting for my rear shoes to reach the end of their life, then doing a brake job. The rear brake line gets pretty taught when I'm working on the rear, and it's fully drooped out. Sketched me out first time I saw it. What was it like...

is my tranny about to sh## itself?

So everything checks out on the suspension and driveshaft. No reason to suspect it'd be anything other than transmission at this point. Sounds like you're wading into some muddy water, repair wise. Guess the choice comes down to labor rate, and how long it will take him to find and replace...

    On a Mission: 50mph rumble

SAString sorry for the late reply. I completely missed your reply. As for the specific bushing that was used, I'm not sure which one it is, because the shop installed it. It made a difference in the vibration for me, but that was a front end vibration that was only bad over bumpy roads, due...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Glad that they went to a good home! Take care of them, and by that I mean, make sure they get wheeled!!

Rear shocks with lift and rear Sway bar Questions.

The Monroes are beefy and perhaps are a special use case. Like Tom said, if you aren't running with any extra weight, then they are overkill and probably would ride rough. They aren't exactly the softest ride nor the roughest, but certainly firm. I think he was mentioning that the only...

Rear shocks with lift and rear Sway bar Questions.

I eventually will need another set of shocks, and the Monroes do ride a little rough. If load capacity wasn't a factor, what shocks have a comfortable ride on-road combined with good offroad handling?

What did you do to your jeep today?

After having a shop change my oil halfway through a cross country road trip I could barely get the filter off when I changed my oil last month. I had both arms up in there with both hands on it, almost blowing up my shoulder in the process. Went got the heat gun and put it on the filter until...

Rear shocks with lift and rear Sway bar Questions.

I have the Monroe load-leveling shocks and they are fantastic. They've been on my jeep for 4 years. Towed 4K trailer 5500miles and I these helped a lot. I also used to have to pick up feed bags regularly, and I've fit 25 50lb bags of feed several times, only going a few miles to the farm but...

    Headlights

I'm curious to know where that RV is going with all those lights! Those 360 remote spotlights are pretty slick. I've thought about taking the old one off our boat and putting it on the Jeep. Wonder how much trouble I'd be in for blasting a tailgater with 600,000 candelas, knowing my luck...

    Headlights

People seem to be doing whatever they want out here. All depends on what the officer cares about on that particular day. Have seen some log bumpers, tastefully done of course. IMO The best part about the 2x6 is the airbag compatibility :happy175::happy175:

    Headlights

Well that was thorough. I appreciate you diving into the nitty gritty of it. I tried to not use the light bar on road in CA unless it was needed, and in those situations I doubt that an officer would have ticketed me. That happened to be only a couple times that I can remember, once in a snow...

    Headlights

I was hoping that when TomMudd stated that there was a kit that "will run JK LED lights" it meant running the full headlight housing. If that isn't the case, then I will likely replace my current headlight assemblies and keep it all stock. You're certainly right when it comes down to legal...

    Diagnosing noise

I've always had problems with my front cv axles, and intermediate shaft. To the extent where I am on my 7th or 8th set since the life of the vehicle. It has been my bain. I'm curious if the driveshaft could play a role in that. I've been busy here, working 12 hour days for the past 2...
