High Mileage KJ: What else should I do while lifting?

Would a least make certain the bolt in the lower arms will move so alignment can be reset. It can be a real pain to get loose/out.

    Stock and 15's

Think it is more the profile of the rim than the backspacing. There are several 15" that touch the caliper, had a stock XJ wheel that only touched at the butt weld. If it had not been such a pain/costly to swap out I would have gone 16" after seeing how close the soft 8 fit.

Had lift, like the Rev. says no lift,tire/wheel sticking out, springs wore out,it is gonna rub. This is how I ran them.

That is the only code? How are you checking code? If you got a relay at the cheapest place, you might want to test or exchange it.

    stuttering or missfire or something

My GUESS on coils is they are the same. If it is not missing just change plugs-use copper-no need for fancy stuff.

    Fluid changes...

Before you drain fluid make certain that the fill plug in transfer case can be removed. Be easy with the trans pan too,it is made of light material, only use "Right Stuff" or "permatex" to reseal pan. Gasket not recommended.

Angry Sparrows not front drive shaft now what?

Rebuild the front shaft, replace the U-joints in rear shaft. Check/replace front hubs-While you are there check CV axles, bearings and seals. Might as well go on and add a lift as the springs and shocks are wore plum out, ball joints too. Brake pads and rotors, upper A-arms,won't hurt either. Once...
