Rough Country Lift--> Front End Problems

Absolutely take out the spacers. The OME springs are only advertised as 1.5" lift, but will actually net you about 2.5 - 3" over stock. Those spacers are what killed your shocks. Get rid of them.

Rough Country Lift--> Front End Problems

Yes, As you have already read, you need to replace your RC lift with some quality coils. Best we have found is the OME 927 Front springs, 948 rear springs, and Rancho, OME, or Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners. with that setup, you will probably be the same amount lifted as you currently are...

Got my Taxes back, upgrade time!

Well. At least you are aware of it ahead of time. And once you swap to OME in May, you will be one more person like me who can testify the improvement of OME over the Daystar.

    mp3 player 3.5 input

I have used the FM transmitter adapters in the past. THey worked pretty good. it had a 3.5 mm adapter, and also bluetooth. I could stream audio from my Pre via bluetooth to the fm transmitter, and then just tune to the specific station on the radio. Worked pretty goo. No static.

    BF Goodrich - All-Terrain T/A KO

They are good tires. Last a really long time if taken care of and rotated regularly. But the General Grabber AT2 are almost exactly the same tread, and are usually considerably less expensive. Grabbers are a good tire too. Personally, I would look at the Treadwright Puma or Warden. Warden...

Actual Lift Amount - Lets Compare Fender Heights

Sounds like you are sagged about 2" all around from stock height. Replacing with OME springs all around and new shocks would greatly improve your ride.

    Boilers top plate question

Dad gummit Tom. You beat me to it! And like he said, usually a top plate, and then a clevis too is all you need.

    Boilers top plate question

With a stock Top plate, you can add the 1/4" spacer plate is all. If you want to go with the 3/8" spacer plate, or 2x 1/4" plates, you have to have longer studs in the top plate or you will not have enough thread engagement. You can add multiples. It is similar to an OTT budget lift. The...

    OEM Moab equivalents?

Only way to go wider with OEM is the get a set of Moabs, or add spacers to stock. I am surprised you are seeing such high prices for Moabs. They are usually around $200-300 around my area in craigslist on a regular basis. Sometimes with 245/75 MTRs still mounted with good tread.

    brake caliper slides

I assume you are talking about the slides that are around the caliper mounting bolts that allow the caliper to float in and out and self-center about the rotor. They should be somewhat snug. But you should be able to move them in and out by hand. you can lube them with that red brake lube...

Please help! Weird growling noise when braking to a stop!

Sounds exactly like your suspect problem. You are rubbing Steel-on-steel. Your pads are toast. Sometimes, if you wait too long to change the pads, the pad will just crack when very thin and pop off. Then you are grinding the rivets that held the pad to the steel backing plate, and the...

    will tires be to small

Yes. I had roughly the same size as that in the pics below back when I first put on my Daystar lift. I had 235/75-15 which are less than 1/10" smaller diameter than the size you are asking about. You be the judge. I thought they were too small, as did many other people.

    255/70 x 16 on OME lift

Or you could find a set of Moabs on craigslist locally and run 265/70-16 without any trouble. There are 2 or 3 sets available in the DFW area right now.

    265/65 17 Nitto Terra Grapplers

Those should be just fine. Many people run 31x10.50's, 245/75-16, or 265/70-16. All are about the same diameter as the ones you are looking at.

    Spacer lift drawbacks for 2WD

Tom is right on the money here. I have a 2WD and went the spacer lift initially. 2 years later, and I have OME springs now. Ride is much improved.
