Thank you all for bringing this one back to life. I have been searching and wanting to change my 80k mile pretty new to me jeep fluids. Is there anything in the how-to section that you all know of?
Yes, those. And I believe they are a perfect fit, but like I said I have never done it myself. Search the forum I'm sure you can find something on here, try searching "soft 8's" or something. I'm driving right now or I'd help ya.
Another look I like is using the kj center caps off of the steel wheels. I almost forgot about that but have never used it myself, I would have if I had gotten the soft 8's.
Just use a wire brush to clean anything big off, brake cleaner and air to remove anything loose, tape up your brakes and studs, and give it a little rattle can. I love the all black your going with but if you'd like to use another color you could do that too. Or even paint your large center...
Haha. Good luck, and it was just an idea... The only thing I have swapped on mine is the wheels. I couldn't tell you the first thing about my jeeps electronics.
So we have established that it is in the PCM? Could you just swap a PCM from another country? The last car I had I swapped my PCM because I was told it was bad (stupidly enough it wasn't) but I didn't have 1/2 the electronics that my lib has. I don't know the cost of getting the flash or how...
Don't speed!!! Umm I would assume there is a module or something under the dash? Maybe try google if you can't come up with anything here. You'll probably want to broaden your search into the Cherokees and wranglers for your search, that may help.
Can't you disconnect a fuse to disable these options? I know you won't have any kind of lockers or anything but would this make or break a selling point?
Ever think about making some? I had a buddy with an 80's Mazda protege looking like a rally style car with roof rack and all and he just cut some large rubber sheets and mounted them up. I personally think it looked great.
I personally would take the renny. Have you ever owned a black vehicle? I have tried waxing my last car almost every day and everything shows up on it, that's just my opinion. And I like cloth too :-) if it's illegal couldn't you just order a couple covers? Some blue painters tape will cover...
Aftermarket is the way to go. If you want to add an aftermarket subwoofer, or even just amplify your doors having the outputs makes it all easy. And most aftermarkets have aux/iPod integration.
Maybe try rain-x? I usually treat all of my windows and it works real well in the rain, maybe it will help with the spots? Try applying a couple times a couple thick coats. You may need a water spray bottle to help remove it though. I don't have hard water but it might do the trick.
