Did exactly that the first time I pulled my taillight off because I couldn't pry it off the ball studs ( I was convinced that something was 'wrong' and if I pulled too hard it would break something). The tail light has what are called 'ball studs' in it. I am not a subscriber to the 'pull harder, not smarter' philosophy on anything, but this is a rare case where you need to do exactly this. Unscrew the torx screws, put them aside. Your taillight will be 'loose and wobbly' but won't come...- jnaut

All of your O2 sensors go hay wire?
"The module" went bad? What "module"? The PCM? I'd be suspicious that 4 sensors when blooey all at once. I think some of the experienced mechanics here might be able to hip you to some other mechanical/electronic/evap/emissions failures that could cause secondary codes on the O2 sensors...- jnaut

I'm kinda with tjkj on this. I do believe the shop should have been more formal and less 'buddy/buddy' with you on the process, because the bill ain't buddy-buddy, it's real. But anytime someone starts removing major parts of the dash, the time and labor can add up fast, and $300 is probably...- jnaut
