If you hear the motors, then whatever links the motor to the glass is probably broken/disconnected. I know that sounds ridiculously obvious, but if you can find a way into the mirror housing without breaking anything, it might be something you could easily repair yourself.- jnaut

My understanding is that to remove the hoses discreetly, it assumes you have some way of crimping new hoses into the system. You'll notice that the hoses are 'pressed' into an aluminum tube. My understanding is the rack has to be replaced as a unit, and if you want to just discreetly...- jnaut

Differential service quote
Read diff is super-easy to do, even if you remove the whole diff cover. Front diff merely requires a fluid pump to get the oil out. I just had mine serviced at a shop about six months ago. I think it cost me around $75.- jnaut

Yes, this exact problem was reported on Cartalk a few years ago. A person who lived in an area that got particularly cold would always know if they'd accidentally left the garage door open, because around 2am, their horn would go off and the only way to make it stop was to disconnect the...- jnaut

Very odd snow picture.
We had a very early snow here in Washington which explains why some trees still have some green leaves on them. Different breeds of trees seem to lose their leaves at different rates. The odd thing isn't so much the green leaves, but the snow on the ground. :)- jnaut
