Any update on this? I was able to look at my manual and while I didn't post here, it detailed the exact symptoms you have and suggests there's a clog on the evaporator runoff system. It even said if you see water accumulating on the passenger floor or hear water sloshing around in the dash...- jnaut

A/C problem
Something seems clogged but maybe it's not in the hose orifice. Sometimes the AC has to run a while before any real condensate builds up (enough to drip). I wonder if you have a blend door issue... of course that wouldn't explain why condensate was coming in the passenger cabin and not out...- jnaut

Weak brakes with new rotors
Wow, if you don't open the system, you should never have to bleed the brakes. My guess is you may have air in the line as suggested above.- jnaut

I'd follow tjkj's advice on this. Now that you gave us some background, this definitely isn't normal. Ahtough rare, believe it or not, even here in Seattle we do get the occasional 100+ temperatures. By logic, I would see a fluctuation in my temp gauge on those days if this were normal...- jnaut

The answer is "possibly". Most KJ drivers here NEVER see the temp gauge go above the 1/2 way mark (I'm in this category) because, as you discovered, it's an "idiot" gauge. Meaning that it's showing you the temperature in 'bands'. Normal OT it's dead center, anything over that is outside...- jnaut

$700? Forgive me, but is this a Canadian thing? Are they not available up there or are you paying some kind of duty or hefty shipping? $700 seems insane. On RockAuto THE most expensive alternator is a little over $200.00. The Denso alternator which is the one that I believe is in your KJ...- jnaut

I don't have the EVIC but I just bought the scangauge. When I'm not freewheeling but driving on a very flat surface which essentially just uses a little gas to maintain speed, I think I want to say I've seen mileages of 23 or 24 mpg.
