    A/C problem

Any update on this? I was able to look at my manual and while I didn't post here, it detailed the exact symptoms you have and suggests there's a clog on the evaporator runoff system. It even said if you see water accumulating on the passenger floor or hear water sloshing around in the dash...

I love to watch people who are braver than I.

    Random "dings" and warning lights

Check your codes. I agree with the battery issues above, but the codes will probably give you some idea of what it's dinging about.

New Belt and Tensioner... Do It!

Replaced mine last weekend. 87k miles.

    Synthetic Waxes vs. Carnauba Waxes

HJ, do you really think it was wise to start a new thread on Synthetic vs. Traditional anything?

    A/C problem

Something seems clogged but maybe it's not in the hose orifice. Sometimes the AC has to run a while before any real condensate builds up (enough to drip). I wonder if you have a blend door issue... of course that wouldn't explain why condensate was coming in the passenger cabin and not out...

    Weak brakes with new rotors

Wow, if you don't open the system, you should never have to bleed the brakes. My guess is you may have air in the line as suggested above.

    Engine Temperatures

I'd follow tjkj's advice on this. Now that you gave us some background, this definitely isn't normal. Ahtough rare, believe it or not, even here in Seattle we do get the occasional 100+ temperatures. By logic, I would see a fluctuation in my temp gauge on those days if this were normal...

    Engine Temperatures

The answer is "possibly". Most KJ drivers here NEVER see the temp gauge go above the 1/2 way mark (I'm in this category) because, as you discovered, it's an "idiot" gauge. Meaning that it's showing you the temperature in 'bands'. Normal OT it's dead center, anything over that is outside...

    A/C problem

I completely forgot to look at my manual last night but I believe it has a section on handling clogs in the runoff system. Theoretically, if the condensate wasn't able to drain off, you could experience what you were feeling: hot air coming out of the system. The condenser could also be...

Starter problems? Need help confirming the culprit...

So that's the part they sell at Autozone?!!! And I got a new steering column for that?!! Yeah, ridenby, that's the one. I was able to take that assembly out about a week ago after I bought a security torx bit set because I was convinced that whatever failed in there could be removed and...

    Alternator problems

$700? Forgive me, but is this a Canadian thing? Are they not available up there or are you paying some kind of duty or hefty shipping? $700 seems insane. On RockAuto THE most expensive alternator is a little over $200.00. The Denso alternator which is the one that I believe is in your KJ...

    Fuel saving suggestions.

I don't have the EVIC but I just bought the scangauge. When I'm not freewheeling but driving on a very flat surface which essentially just uses a little gas to maintain speed, I think I want to say I've seen mileages of 23 or 24 mpg. But that's really irrelevant because I simply don't get that...

Slotted Rotors and Mud. Do they mix?

You're probably right, but they sure are sexy. However, I do get the peace of mind that these puppies will probably never warp because they're just damned fine brake equipment.

    control arm removal

Wobbles? Why does this sound like something more than an alignment issue?

Second that. I have a 1200 mile round trip to Panorama, BC in August. I'sa gonna see what the KJ can get. However, on 300 mile road trips I still get almost 21 on my 6-yo kj.

    control arm removal

There's always a AAA towtruck. But seriously... how far off can the alignment be? What does it do when you drive it?

    Will this..

No, it was extremely smart. They got him off the phone on a wild goose chase, and their customer service reps can go back to browsing porn. If they get super-lucky, Jeep will actually answer the question out of a misplaced sense of customer service, and then it's a double-win for Go Rhino.

My vote's still with the battery. Good luck and let us know what the mech finds.
