Why spend twice for tires. If you lift it next year, just get the 245/75/16's then. Ground clearance is half the battle to off-roading, without it you'll be banging on things a lot and get high centered easily.
You apparently didn't research very well, or very wisely when choosing your lift kit.
Your rear stock shocks are not long enough now that you're lifted. Pick up a pair of longer rear shocks for a Dodge Durrango such as Rancho RSX 17004 to eliminate the problem in the rear.
As for the...
I'm sure they would help.
Just for a comparison, I installed a new set of stock CRD 410 lb. rate coils a year and a half ago with my RRO 2.125" combo kit and added 1/2" clevis lift. When I first took it down off the jackstands it was 37" at the flare. After less than a week it had settled to...
RRO uses OME springs with a small 3/8" trim spacer on top of the strut assembly in the front to obtain 2.5" with No UBJ contact and no spring compression.
Frankinlift uses OME springs with a poly spacer within the spring-strut assembly which compresses the spring, along with a Day Star strut...
Try rereading my post, I didn't say you'd get a Frankinlift cheaper, as it has some different componets and preassembled front struts. The componets I mentioned would be very similar to the the RRO Rockfather kit.
Here's a link for All J's and the Frankinlift...
Buying the componets seperately will generally give you better quality parts and be cheaper in the long run over most of the lift kits available.
First off, determine if you will be adding an after market bumper and or winch to deterime which front coil spring rate you will need . If so...
It sounds like you can't really afford a lift kit at this period in your life if you can't afford $300.00 + shipping for the RRO Combo with extended rear shocks.
If your 02 has the original struts & shocks on it, they most likely need replaced anyway, not to mention the springs have lost...
32's will really diminish your MPG, and 4:10's would be a plus to bring your powerband back if you've got the extra bucks, but not totally necessary.
Don't forget to figure in the ARB weight when you order your lift, proper coil rate to support it.
People have CV's going out with no lift and 2.5" lifts. When you start pushing the envelope to 3.25" it puts more stress on parts and they just wear out quicker.
The spacer is on top of the strut or a poly spacer under the coil.
Look closely at the top pic. and you will see the upper ball joint makiing contact with the spring, this is called a strut spacer or OTT, and you want to avoid this type.
The lower pic shows a Rusty's coil lift with no...
