    So close!

Best way to get that top plate in is to have Tommudd do it. Seriously though, I can answer the rusty bolt thing. Every day this week give each nut and bolt a little spray wherever you can that might work its way into the threads. Then if you have one that is overly rusty, spray it...

So the inserts spin? How do you get them back off? I would think the inserts, once spinning, would spin in both directions, unless they have an directional catch.

    Changing my rear dif fluid

My lubelocker seems to still be working fine after 4 months. If you're going to use the Lubelocker gasket, ignore their torque specs. It will just break your bolts and make a medium simple job into a PITA. If you stick with the stock grade 5 bolts torque to 17-20 ft-lbs, and if you...

    Fuel overflow when filling up...

When I bought mine in January it did it every time for like 5 fillups. By then I started trying to avoid it by slowing the pump when I could hear it getting close to full or around the 16 gallon mark if I needed a big fillup. Running it on a slower speed for the last gallon or two and not...

    Need help w/ wiring.

If you want some recommendations, PM me with your plans. I think I need to sit down and do a how to one of these days and consolidate some info. The link speedracerbubba posted is GREAT. Read it and follow it. Except for one thing, ignore the 12V part of the ampacity chart. Just size...

    Welding the pinch weld seem.

Inc cut his out, along with the rocker metal, and welded in a 2 x 5 x 1/4 wall tube as his rocker which requires no rocker guard.

So can you come to the states and buy, or can we bring our jeeps up and sell them to you? Would be totally worth it...

Went and looked at a 200r Renegade...

Seems very pricey to me. I haven't quoted any since I bought mine in january but I was looking at 35-50k miles and was finding all kinds for $10-12k US. Finally got mine with 42k miles for like $9,150 but it needed tires. I don't care what condition those tires are in, it needs tires if they...

    Off-Road Lighting

You need some rear lights too, unless you never back up. I've only got the 55 watt lights and its like daytime in front of me, and like a cloudy day in the rear. I'm using fog lights in the rear and have them rotated outward about 15 degrees each. They've got such a wide beam that I could...

would these work on our KJs?

My initial guess would be yes, but I don't know what ET45 means....They look like they are about 5 inches of back spacing which would be ok. Maybe if it has a weird shape the brake or arms could contact it, but I doubt it. I like those a lot too.

    Liberty Tire Weight?

Weight of rims is going to vary widely based on the construction of the rim AND the material. Just about any place you buy rims or tires has spec sheets with weight included.

    Newbie questions...

I thought 245/70 R16 was the largest people put in with stock suspension usually. 245/75-R16 is usually considered a safe size for lifts without having to do much trimming. Maybe you can get by with a clevis lift and a top plate shim in the front, and a couple additional upper isolators in...

    pretty nice rig...

Has lots of nice limited toys, but ARB + Winch + CB + questionable 3" lift + chrome rims protest.gif I wouldn't give them more than $1000 over an unmodified Limited. Personally I wouldn't pay for all the limited stuff at all, but I think their going to need to find a sucker or lower the...

Is 54K too old to switch to synthetic oil?

http://www.mobil.com/usa-english/lubes/pds/glxxenpvlmomobil1_5w-30.asp Synthetics usually have expanded operable temperature ranges at each end of the spectrum. This is one of the main reasons I use it. We've had -25 F more times than I'd like. I think a pour point of -48 degrees C (-54 F)...

    Dealership/lightbar part.. help!

Ok so the '05 Mopar parts list shows the part number 5HZ08RXFAH to visually be the four light cover, AND indicates no variations for a 2 light version, AND calls for 4 lamps... How is it m_volyrakis fault that 5HZ08RXFAH refers to the 2 light cover, if it actually even does? The only thing I...

    Squeek squeek squeek

Mine pads and rotors were replaced when I bought it in January and in no time it was doing that exact thing. Squealing / grinding then squealing some as I rolled away as well. I took it back to what I've always considered to be a pretty good shop 3 TIMES and they did "stuff" to them each...
