    20 Lug nuts for $18.95???

Yep, Mcgard solid nuts are at least one of the best you can buy. They have a lifetime guarantee on their chrome, I believe. Summit has 64010 Mcgards, 4 for 13 bucks. Summit has 64029 Mcgards (black chrome), 4 for 17 bucks. I think when I bought mine they were 15 or 16 dollars. I might...

Engine Shut off and oil light came on???

Ah. I thought it was a relief, but I never figured that would be a big deal before. I guess since there is so little fluid in the reservoir that it would heat up fast. Often relief valves are used in hydraulics as circuit logic, but the amount of fluid is much larger. Didn't think of that...

Engine Shut off and oil light came on???

Troy I've heard you say that about not turning at full lock before. What is the deal with that? I'm not arguing, just wanting to be enlightened. Would love to know the ins and out with whats going on there. I always thought the hiss at full lock was fluid going over a relief or something...

    New Tires

They'll look a bit small if you do a lift, but you can probably sell them with a little effort and upgrade for a little less painful amount that way.

    Bump Stop Removal

Yep, used dish soap, some wood on the tire to raise up the fulcrum a bit, and then used a pipe to pry it into place. A 2x4 on edge probably would have worked better or at least as well.

    Knocking, power loss, flashing CEL...f**k

"drove fine this morning" doesn't necessarily mean much though. I had a taurus that had no knock at all. It ran fine right up to the minute that it siezed up. Oil pump went out and the engine light came on about 1/4 mile from an off ramp. It was dead before I got to it. Had enough speed to...

    I bought a liberty!!

I think we need to start a business where we all get in a network that people call to inspect vehicles when they live too far away. Call the company, it sends out a local guy to find out what all it needs, is wrong with it, history, and then to negotiate a price. Mark up the price whatever...

    20 Lug nuts for $18.95???

:D If you take them on and off yourself, have at it. If you ever have some monkey with an impact wrench on them, good luck in them lasting. The caps like to crack loose and fall off. I'm not sure that those are the stock nuts either. My local shop replaced my locks with new nuts when I...

    She's getting an oil change

I had to gap my platinums, they were all at 60 to 80 and I think they were supposed to be 0.040. I've slept since then so I forget what it's supposed to be for sure. You can get the autolite platinums for a couple bucks a piece too. I've heard TJKJ say that you have to use carbon fiber (or...

    20 Lug nuts for $18.95???

I wouldn't buy more of the originals personally, they get rusty and the shiny part falls off. The solid ones I bought were about 80 or 90 bucks though so....

It'll never happen to me ...

Tire rack tested studded and studless winter tires on an ice rink and the studless gripped the road better. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=94 Just sayin. The studless tires aren't too bad at all to ride on. Only drawback to having my blizzaks on is that they...

It'll never happen to me ...

I thought in Canada you had to use winter tires during certain months? Or is that just certain places. I tote my kids around in Indiana, we're considerably more mild wintered than just about any of Canada I'm sure. I'll use winter tires from now on, they're really that good. It is $ but...

They just are a PITA to work with in tight spaces since they are 36 tooth, I believe. Basically you can turn a nut / bolt faster with snap on if you have limited space to turn the handle.

Why 12? While versitile (gripping square heads, etc) how do 12 points help you break loose bolts? 6 point should be stronger. Kinda thought that's why you mentioned item D. Fill me in.
