New wheels for the Jeep.
What tires and lift are you going to have? I don't know for sure but I would think shifting the tires outward 1.5" would cause stock tires to hit the pinch weld or the front of the wheel wells if you're not lifted. Lifted with that style rim and 30.5" tires I had to trim a ton off the bumper...- Boiler

I'll have them out at lunch today, and it's 2-3 day delivery from USPS. Can't wait to see the write up. Just thought about something. If you are thinking you'll want to do a Frankenlift someday, I'd get the 1/4" spacer plates. They should give around 1/2" lift. The 3/8" spacers are too...- Boiler

Are JBA a-arms necessary for alignment ??
Even if you have nowhere near you that does lifetime alignment, I'd still do one ASAP after the lift and one 4-6 weeks later. I did that and both times I was waaay out of alignment. After the second one they were looking at me like "what did you do???"- Boiler

Yes it is true everyone recommends middle seat for the safest spot, and they recommend rear facing for as long as possible. I've even seen seats that rear face until like 45 lbs!!! The problem is, in the real world, sometimes these just aren't feasible. Getting little arms into the straps...- Boiler

Let me get this straight, are you saying it decreased from 70 to 35 in just a few seconds? Yeah totally not normal. Brakes, bearings, any of that would hurt your milage. I still feel like I have a brake problem. Mine decreases about 1 mph per second when I let off. Easily 5x faster decel...- Boiler

Looking for a cheaper synthetic regimen.
mobil 1 filter is $10-14 usually, fyi. Recently I stocked up on mobil 1 and mobil 1 filters for $28 per 5 qts + filter. Got 3 changes worth and ran them out of 5w30....was at advance or autozone, i forget which.- Boiler

Would you want an aftermarket rear bumper WITHOUT a heavy tire carrier?
I have 4" backspacing too. Mine would be a line to line fit with the back of the bumper. I can probably make about 1/4" clearance for a 4" backspaced 245/75 R16, then require a shim, washers behind the mount, something to get fatter 4" backspaced tires on... I'll keep working on...- Boiler

The problem is two cans don't fit back there very neatly, unless you turn them on edge, in which case they will be the point of first contact. It could easily be done though, spinning them sideways and having two. I understand your feelings but that is a DEEP bumper considering some folks are...- Boiler
