mine had the strut fork bolt just about touching the metal on the bottom of the bushing ( the bushing sleeve/housing wasn't rubbing metal to metal yet, but almost), and the inner bushing had large cracks (looked like the worse case of tire dry rot you have ever seen). I just rented one from oreillys, you need the main tool and the "4wd balljoint kit" that includes longer cups wider hubs/caps. The total deposit for the rental was $225, and I dont replace enough balljoints to justify dropping that kind of coin on a VERY used and abused tool.- mrlavalamp
