Fixed the drivers rear brake squeak today by replacing those 4 clips that the brake pads slide back and forth in. Now it is dead silent. Love it.- lfhoward

New Keys
That’s a bummer, nbas. Maybe it is an export thing, but there is also a limit to the number of keys that can be programmed using the do-it-yourself procedure. If the previous owners made a lot of keys, that could explain why you are out of luck.- lfhoward

What did you do to your jeep today?
I rotated the tires today and took a good look at the brakes. The pads are still decently thick and wearing evenly. The squeaking that has been driving me nuts is a missing anti-rattle clip / brake pad slider on the drivers rear inboard brake pad. Not sure what the actual name of this tiny...- lfhoward

I would guess it is completely fine. Mine was in a low fluid situation for about 3 days, where it could drive fine unless it was on an incline. Added fluid and no more issues. That was 100k miles ago. You may not have had enough fluid to build pressure to run it, but it sounds like there was...- lfhoward

Engine appears to be over heating
Regarding color of coolant: green is typically the “universal” stuff that claims to be compatible with HOAT coolant but will cause problems. Mopar HOAT is a reddish color and Zerex G05 which is also HOAT is an orangish color. I am reading this thread for the first time now and glad you are...- lfhoward

Agreed. I would have the transmission checked. Any chance your transmission fluid was low, so that it sloshed backwards on steep grades and didn’t provide the transmission with the fluid it needed except on the flat?
