After market radio issue
I just installed an ATOTO F7 in my Jeep Commander about 2 weeks ago. It has crashed and rebooted a couple of times, but doesn’t seem to do it all that often. From what I can tell the second generation Compass is better than the first. I had a second generation one as a rental vehicle before. It is zippy and fun, and had newer technology in it. How To: Change front driveshaft / change a driveshaft head
Go back to the first post in this thread. The original poster, Twack, has some good photos of the whole process and how the parts go together. -
Had a relatively minor collision. Passenger side front wheel now has negative camber and toe-out. Trying to figure out what part (or parts) got bent.
The good side has more droop… the bad side is being held up by something. Or it’s just the perspective of the photo. I agree with TC about having an alignment shop check it out.- lfhoward

Passenger Side Engine Valve(s) Alteration(s)
^^^ This. I got really lucky last year also. When this happened the engine just quit as the valve stuck open and the cylinder lost compression. Another broken horn - clockspring?
When my clock spring went out I had an airbag light but the horn always worked. I guess not all the wires in there break at the same time. So it is feasible that your clock spring could be going even though you still have cruise and the airbag light is off so far. Replacing the clock spring is...- lfhoward

KJ was sideswiped on the driver side, now it drifts to the right… faint growling sound on the highway
A good body shop could verify the unibody is straight and make it straight if it was a little off. My 08 was sideswiped in the rear less than a month after I bought it. The rear quarter panel, rear axle, control arms, track bar, tail light all needed replacing. I remember making sure everything...- lfhoward

Nice thorough write up! That tow-haul button is pretty finicky. I bet mine is filled with dust and dirt too after 17 years. Not to mention spilled coffee. -

How bad of a sideswipinng was it? Did they hit your tires? How much impact? If you were aligned multiple times and you have the printouts showing it was in spec, and you’re sure all the ball joints are good… I would be looking at other possibilities like the steering rack bushings, or rear...- lfhoward

Mystery P0300 root cause?
Wow you have been thorough! I wish I could think of something that you didn’t do yet. With your 07 you have drive by wire, like the 08+ KK. There is no throttle cable or idle air controller like on previous years. It could be something computer related maybe. Since it is not confined to one...- lfhoward

Stuck rear passenger door Help!!
