Might go a little higher(1-1,25") and still have a couple deteriorated BJ and TRE boots I want to replace with urethane boots. I've had 1/4" top plates, 3/4" clevis spacers and 4 extra rear upper isos sitting in the tool box for a while now.
I'm about to mount up a 30x9.5-15 on my 02 that's currently at 20.5" front and 21" rear. I have the wheels already, but I only ordered 1 Cooper SST Pro to confirm the fit before committing to all 4.
I am all set to increase my lift by 1.25" front and 1" rear if needed, but I'd prefer to stay...
Check out the H&R springs. Unless you're looking to go over 2.5" you're going to love them and save a bunch of money over the OME springs. They are comfortable on and off road due to these being progressive rate springs. They still work well even on small bumps and pot holes on paved...
BTW if you have steering wheel audio controls you will need another adapter to maintain that functionality.
Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface
I also purchased that on Amazon.
Pretty simple install. Everything you need is available on Amazon. You will need to cut away some of the plastic from the back of the dash opening to allow the double DIN to slide in all the way. Beside that just splice, solder and shrink wrap the wiring harness adapter to the stereo you...
The Grabbers were some of the best all around tires I've ever owned. Swear they were better in the snow than my studded snow specific tires. Only reason I sold them off was because I wanted to try something bigger and a little more aggressive.
Please check your fuse box first. My local dealer didn't have a clue even on my KJ. Once I had installed the relay all they had to do was change the country code to Canada. I had to tell them exactly what to do and they still didn't believe it was going to work.
I paid $6K for my 02 Sport about 6 months ago, but it was a 1 owner and only had 11,700 miles.
I agree that around $4K sounds more like what it's worth.
I don't remember ever stating any amount that the hubs/wheels move in. That would be a factor of how high you go. Actually, a factor of how much you increase the angle of the LCA.
You only have so much adjustment on the LCA's and you're adjusting it in and not out as you lift the vehicle. That's why as you go higher you must replace the UCA's with longer ones so you can achieve proper camber.
This makes the geometry even more obvious. Because the lengths of the UCA...
Basic geometry. As you increase the angle of the lower control arm to gain lift you decrease the distance of the hub in relation to the fixed pivot point measured from a vertical line up from the hub.
Quadratec had the 15x7 silver 345 D-Windows in stock. Initially only ordered one to do a test fit. They fit fine. Probably 3/8-1/2+" caliper clearance and they don't stick out past the fenders. The color is almost the same as my refurbished 16" steel wheels. Ordered 3 more with my fingers...
I have and I've heard of guys running different back spacing front to rear. If your up 3.5-4" you've probably pulled you front wheels an inch(plus or minus) closer together than they were at the stock height. Unless you replaced your LCA with longer ones that is.
