    part# for t-case fill plug?

Yes, I already put it on the plugs when I put them in. Of course, they really don't need to be torqued to 100ft/lb either! :happy175: I buy several bottles at a time. Use it on just about everything, including front wheel bearings. Sure makes it easier to remove next time.

    part# for t-case fill plug?

That first number shows up as an external hex, with washer, the one you posted is the internal hex, no washer. Probably both would work.

    part# for t-case fill plug?

Sorry, maybe I'm dumb, but your part# is the same as above, and it's a different version. The one Prof posted is exactly what I'm looking for. But if it helps your low self esteem, I "liked" your post too. Now lets go :party52:

    part# for t-case fill plug?

Thanks, but that isn't the same. That one has an external hex and a washer, mine is the internal hex (allen) and is a pipe fitting type. Not sure if it would work or not. In order to find it from McMaster I would need the exact size, and thread pitch.

    part# for t-case fill plug?

My t-case fill plug has seen better days, the allen center is nearly stripped, and it didn't help that I had to use a chisel to loosen it. I welded a nut on it to get me through a bit while I locate a replacement. None of the local auto parts stores had anything near that oddball size, which...

Need some info on wheel bearing replacement

I don't know about these axles, but many rear axles have the bearing pressed on the axle itself, so you may not be able to do it in your garage unless you have a press. Are you sure it's not the front? If you steer just enough to load the bearing each way and the noise changes, it may be the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Spent a bit of time trying to get the fluid level/fill plug out of the transfer case, chisel wouldn't turn it, finally a bit of heat and penetrating oil loosened it up, but now I need a new plug. Next is the trans plug. I don't have the right size allen, and the double nutted bolt was a no-go...

    Front Diff Breather

As long as there's a pic, I've been wondering what that "large pill bottle" size thing is, in the lower right corner, that has two lines running to it, and has "top" on it
