What did you do to your jeep today?

Noticed my 260k mile 42rle is starting to slip pretty badly with 6psi of boost, and got a job working nights at Summit's distribution center. With the trans in its last leg and plans to start the SAS swap soon, the employee discounts would come on handy. I think I might be onto something here...

What did you do to your jeep today?

You got me on that one. You're supposed to remove the clevis completely, at least if you want your cv boots in one piece afterwards. In fact, you're supposed to remove the whole passenger side strut assembly. The drivers side can be pulled/installed after removing the clevis, no need for strut...

    JBA's "Springless Struts"

Definitely not my first pick for daily driver. Unless they've changed some things since I messed with them, they're more for slow speed crawling Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w

    My looking for wheels thread

I like the moabs on lifted kj's. The width and BS is perfect. Here's mine on 245/75 with about 4.25" lift. Had them pc'd Teflon. Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w

Should I give my dealer another shot?

Actually it does hurt your transmission. Creates a ton of extra heat. Usually your circulating a bunch of metal particles through your Trans. A lot of Trans failures are because of a bad converter. Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w.

    Noise after lift...What next?

Why not pull the passenger cv/intermediate shaft out, stuff a rag in the axle housing, and go for a drive? No sense in throwing parts at it until you know exactly what IT is. Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w.

    JBA Y-Link Extension

Could be possible one or both of your lower arm axle or "frame" brackets are tweaked. A **** hair off will make a huge difference. Have you tried rocking the rig side to side to let it go neutral? Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w.

    JBA Y-Link Extension

Just use your floor jack under the pinion to rotate the pinion up, use a block of wood and Jack behind the axle up under the lower coil seat. Here's a picture of the bracket. Like mentioned above, don't waste the time trying to duplicate what you see on another rig. No 2 rigs will be the same...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Going off the Texas plates and the terrain, I'd be a little suspicious and ask myself, "Why was the car stolen? Who's in the trunk? Wtf is she running from? Should I put one extra magazine in my pocket or 2?" Just starts off too much like the beginning of a Wrong Turn movie. Sent from my...

Lmao, I just recently posted about the brake fluid I placed on the porch in preparation to wrench on my jeep. My girl thought was trash and tossed it. I didn't realize it until I went to put brake fluid in. Sent from my SM-G900A using Tapatalk
