I think the main factor is using good quality materials and proper prep. I think a completely blacked out KJ would look good. Its like when people go for a cheap matte black paint or dip job and it comes out looking bad.
Man those are cool. Wish I knew about them when I had my Renegade. A couple of them on my brush guard would have looked neat. And they would have matched my Cactus Green.
We like copper plugs because that's what the engine was designed to run. When I bought my KJ I went to my local part store to get new plugs and coil packs and the part guy gave me NGK Iridium plugs and I did not know any different. The old dude cashing me out saw them and asked me who the hell...
A detailing trick I learned is to wear a rubber/latex glove and rub the fur/hair to one side. It will help pull it from the upholstery and allow it to be vacuumed up. Sometimes you need to try a couple directions as some directions work better than others. It takes a little bit more effort and...
I am in Calgary, Alberta. OP Lives in what many Albertan's consider the rectum of Alberta so this comes as no surprise to me. OP must just be mad that due the bank decided to repo his lifted Raptor or something due to the economic downturn here. I am sure that if he stops spending his EI money...
I had a rattle that seemed more prominent when cold and it turned out to be the heat shield on the driver side catalytic converter. Put a hose clamp around her and never rattled again.
I almost rolled my KJ one day out in the bush going maybe 5mph. If I did and was not buckled I probably would have went out the open sunroof and gotten crushed by my own Jeep. Logging roads are great for accidents.
I read online that someone had a Valvoline rep tell them to still add the friction modifier when changing the diff fluid. I would assume that their additives are there to help protect but not replace the friction modifier.
Stick with orange Troy! I have seen a couple vehicles completely bed lined black and they look terrible when dirty. Lime green would be my second vote but that's just me.
In about a year I ended up spending around $10K on my Renegade. It needed work and I liked the machine. My wife jokes that I secretly like when there is work to be done so I can work on it.
As rjkj2005 said move the coil pack to another cylinder to see if the code follows so you know that the pack is the issue. When I bought my KJ it had multiple cylinder misfires so I replaced all the plugs and coil packs. Went with Champion copper plugs which worked great and went with Standard...
