    Transmission temperature sensor

New pan. Trying to block the sunlight in the second shot. I got about fifteen miles on this thing now.

    Transmission temperature sensor

Gauge. Now that I’ve had a look at things I’m going to put a hole in the panel in front of the 4WD handle for a permanent mount.

Broken top strut mount? Please help

Best photo I have of my coilovers after reassembly. I used the original parts. You might want to check the other side while you’re at it.

    Transmission temperature sensor

Now I have a wire for the temp sensor run and stuck down. Already 80 degrees at 9am, and the morning sun was still coming in under the bow. I was stewing in my own juices. I need to get a ring terminal to make a pigtail for the ground wire.

RPMs intermittently stuck when lightly applying gas, slow response over 50 mph

For the Evap codes I suggest looking at the tubing connected to the solenoid up front. Mine had a hole worn through one where it passes close to the battery. You might want to check fuel pressure, could be a problem with the pump.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I got a wire through the firewall for my temperature sensor. I ran a second wire in case I need one in the future. I appear to have done no harm. But it’s already 90 degrees F outside so that’s it for a while.

The gauge is going in the slot down there, so that’s worth looking at. I have a trim panel removal kit arriving tomorrow.

    Transmission temperature sensor

I had not gone far enough into the Wiring chapter to find the Pin Out section. I see it now, thank you again. I’ve thought of replacing the radio as well.

    Transmission temperature sensor

I need some help, gang, because I’m not exactly in my right mind these days. Where can I find some +12VDC to power the gauge? I was considering splicing into the radio circuit, but I haven’t got my head under the panel just yet. If I’m reading the service manual correctly, a number of things use...

    The BatCar

On Sunday my son Sean passed away unexpectedly while I was at work. I haven’t said anything because I was waiting for the autopsy results. The examination found no obvious cause of death. The final toxicology report will be available from the State lab in six to seven months, according to the...

P0610 code plus ABS and Brake lights on

Sounds like the board has gone off. It’s possible to purchase a replacement PCM, but it needs to be flashed to your VIN and mileage. I’ve seen posts here where people get them off eBay.

P0610 code plus ABS and Brake lights on

That code is an issue with the PCM— The Power Control Module. It’s no longer recognizing something. Decreased fuel mileage can result from this.

    The BatCar

I ordered a deep pan for the transmission today. Expensive, but cheaper than a transmission. I paid extra to have them machine a hole for a temperature sensor. Might as well go all out and put display in the cockpit somewhere.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Our Community College has a heavy vehicle maintenance program. A student was looking to make extra money while school is out for the summer, and I hired him to replace my lower front ball joints. I’m glad I did, it would have taken me twice as long. Now I have Moog greaseable joints installed...
