Sounds like way more weight than the tow hitch should have, a trailer would be safer and more legal option, especially with worn old springs and a spacer lift.
Where are you from? If you are in Europe then H&R springs in Germany are good.

I doubt it, I'd guess it's going to be a power output to drive the dip motors from the BCM.
Glad you commented on this, I've got a dead Limited I'm slowly stripping and a Sport to kit out, I'd have forgotten about the auto dip!
That's an odd one! The remote start must be interfering with something, do you have any information on how it's wired in?
Wonder if it has an immobiliser function with a time delay (can't think why though?)
Might be worth seeing if there is a manual for the system you could download.
