My ‘90 XJ was quick, even with the “non-HO” 4.0L. It had the NP242 t-case, and it was nimble as could be on snowy streets. I could do some Ken Block stuff with it. All that low end grunt was great.- CherokeeLiberty

I’m so glad ducking isn’t a thing in my neck of the woods. It reminds me of a post on FB, though. A girl ducked this guy’s jeep, and she went into the store. On her return, she was met with the same duck back on her jeep, only it had been decapitated :D- CherokeeLiberty

I know if you’re in 4 Low, you can start the engine without pushing the clutch it. I’m guessing that’s what the “transmission range” block is in the upper diagram. I highly doubt my haynes book will show anything different, but I will look.- CherokeeLiberty

I’ll keep that in mind, Sota. I went to the range and then tried a couple forest roads near it. I got a little muddy, but nothing crazy. Mostly, the roads were just lopey. Tomorrow, I’m going fishing, and I might find some more entertaining roads.- CherokeeLiberty

Almost rolled it… I was returning my trailer to the back garage. I went and picked up my four wheeler (2003 Honda Rincon 650) from my parents’ house. It towed just fine. I figured out why my trailer lights don’t work properly (mostly). The yahoo who installed the T splice kit did not loom or tape the wires, and the insulation wore through over time. I ordered tires today. Our local L&M Supply (it’s basically a regional Tractor Supply type chain) has $50 off a set of 4 tires, which is what I’ve been waiting for.
