    I have not experienced anything like that in mine except for when the traction control takes over. That said, I can power right through the brakes in first gear, so I don’t believe there is any kind of torque modulation.

    I bet they do, but I’ve found that can be mitigated by dumping the clutch. In all seriousness, I’ve never felt like I was lacking too badly in my ‘07. It seems like the traction control is the only issue.

    I drove it today and yesterday. The mouse smell persists. Time to get my little ozone deal charged up and running, and then it’s an Irish Spring treatment.

    I started it and let it run for 45 minutes, or so. We’re going down to -30°F tonight, so the block heater and oil pan heater are plugged in. My work van, however, needed a jump today after lunch. We finally got it started and it ran from 1:30-5:30 when I got home.

    I drove it in fresh, unadulterated snow this morning. I beat the plows to the highways. It was glorious.

    I sprinkled peppermint oil all under the rear seat. Hopefully that will work. It sure helps with the mouse smell, anyways.

    Bad CV joint on the front driveshaft on the t-case end. Typical. The dang thing only lasted 90k miles :D

    However, a new problem reared its ugly head today: transfer case noise while 4 hi is engaged. Kind of an intermittent grinding. It’s the 241 case. I haven’t been able to get eyes on anything yet.

    I ordered that new seat belt buckle about a month ago, now. Since then, the original has started functioning properly again. No more sticky button.

    We got a lot of fresh snow. I plowed the driveway with the ranger, then I romped down the road and back in the Jeep before parking it again.
