How are the u joints in the steering shaft? Does it wander all the time or just when accelerating or coasting?

These are the rear shocks for a 4x4 Dakota, which works great on a Liberty that is lifted 2-3” - there are 2 options from Bilstein in the yellow shocks, but I’m not aware of one being “old stock”

What did you do to your jeep today?

Little backcountry exploring yesterday - checked out one of the cabins we haven't been to yet. Was pleasantly surprised by how clean the cabin was. No great views though due to the low cloud cover. Also drove out onto the lake bed - they are working on the dam so the lake level is down at least...

That's funny you said that - of my last 4 vehicles 2 had sunroofs and 2 had panoramic glass roofs - never had problems with any of them.

It works! Can even change some bcm settings for door locks etc. I'm thinking if I ever get a winch I can use the sunroof switch for a remote winch control as my truck does not have a sunroof :)

No wiring for the evic up there unfortunately, those wires are just for the dome lamp and the vanity mirrors in the sun visors. I have a chunk of the harness that the evic plugs into, so will just have to extend some wires down to the dlc connector.

What did you do to your jeep today?

One thing the sport models don't have that bugs me is no outside temperature reading :) So I picked up a used EVIC from a wrecker and decided to cut a large hole in my headliner! Got it installed this evening and hopefully get it wired up tomorrow. No going back now! :p

For lifted kjs - custom driveline required?

Look into the Iron Rock rear upper control arm assembly - direct replacement for the stock arm and gives you adjustability to correct driveline angles.

    Bilstein's on backorder

Tried to buy some rear Bilstein's for the Jeep last week - according to the distributor here in Canada both the the Dakota 24 and 33 rear options are currently on backorder with Bilstein USA. Got the front Liberty shocks last week so hopefully they are going in tomorrow.

Front differential spider gears not working

Is it possible that one of the inner cv's are out of place in the cup from dropping the suspension down? Or maybe one of the tripod joints fell off?

What did you do to your jeep today?

The fronts are #24-139168 - my truck has the H&R springs with a few conduit nuts up front for an extra 1/2" lift.

Traditionally a strut is attached to the steering knuckle and helps support the knuckle and also turns with the knuckle versus a shock which only helps control the up down movement of the suspension.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I have a 2" lift on my truck - rear shocks are the longer Bilstein #33-185859. The front is technically not a strut but a shock with a coil over spring.
