    250A Alternator?

I have a 285 amp alternator I got from Singer that's worked for me. It took a bit to get it, but as long as you're in no rush, I think it was worth the small wait. As you can see by Insane's pix, you'll likely be installing a couple of busbars (grounding and power), 1/0 cable and a big fat...

    Can it be done?

No matter whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right. A great Henry Ford quote I love that doesn’t really fit as it kinda ignores the cost of “think you can”. On some level everything I try with this Liberty is kinda ball-b*llbusting and yet worthwhile and I still keep...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I recommend a wooden wedge (like a door stop shape) jammed between the inside of the window and the door. A neater appearance and works just as well.

    Cat back exhaust

This wasn't recently, but I was able to pick up a Magnaflow catback a year ago for half of list-price on Amazon using camelcamelcamel. It did take 6 months of watching and waiting though!

2007 Rear Window Regulator replacement - hole style

steiger performance is another way to go. I replaced all four regulators with Steiger's stuff after they'd already all been replaced once before with Mopar parts. 45 minutes a window for me. Your mileage may vary (and likely be better). That was ten years ago and no troubles since then. I...

    A/C Resistor trouble

I want to say it's a Chrysler Sebring, but don't quote me. My thought has always been why would you want a more robust resister? Why not address the problem directly with either the wiring or the fan blower motor?

    Iron Rock Rear A-Arm

How do you use the angle finder? Is that 3.2 degrees I'm reading a couple of pictures back and is that what you're gunning for there or is that the 1 degree off you refer to? Is that the only critical angle? Thanks and great pix!

    A/C Resistor trouble

I burned out two in three years and decided to go ahead and replace the blower. The unit I took out took much more effort to turn by hand than its replacement which spun easily. My guess is that it pulled more amps than the resistor could handle.

Big feet. When braking, my foot hits the gas. Any else have this problem?

Understood. I took flight lessons and the instructors are intolerant of students who apply throttle and brake at the same time. That introduced some discipline.

Big feet. When braking, my foot hits the gas. Any else have this problem?

I typically brake with my left and use my right on the gas. I find it makes for a smoother stop. Don't know if it would help here or if a stick would make this impractical.

2.5-3" Lift, No Other Mods - Safe Tire Size?

This has been my experience with about a 2 to 2.5 in lift and 245/65/17s on OEM rims. No messing about with the pinchweld or trimming. I did have to put in some missing fasteners in the left inner fender which fixed a minor occasional issue with that wheel.

can only afford 1 True Trac - front or rear?

Sorry about the delayed reply. I ran out of time and shipped the Jeep without the LSD. So far no place I've needed it! And thank you for your advice.
