AC compressor keepers cycling even when AC is turned off.

AC runs when vehicle is in defrost mode even if no AC light is on. AC is very good at pulling moisture from air, which defrost windshield way faster, which is why they (by they i mean every brand)do it that way.

What did you do to your jeep today?

We deal with a lot of NAPA brakes at the shop ..... let's just say their napa branded calipers are garbage, and thats being nice. Its 50/50 if they are going to work right under normal circumstances. We had a caravan get 5 different right calipers in a row before that started to function...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Anything brand name is more likely to be made with higher quality parts, but there is no guarantee. But yeah, I try to stick with bran name stuff, such as BWD, etc.

Trak Lok LSD at wrecker in Lower Mainland

Everything is fair game there, except no jacks, grinders and torches. They have some stuff on the shelf, but it's largely a self serve yard. They offer a service to pull what you want as well. That's a good call if someone needs it, on the ring and pinion. It can make your life easier in same...

Liberty KJ 3.7 Rear right wheel lock up, metal sound.

Pull the cover and see whats going on. Could have had the spider (the middle part of the diff with 4 gears) grenade, which happens. If nothing else damaged, replace and carry on.

Trak Lok LSD at wrecker in Lower Mainland

Prices at Empire are very good. Odds are they will just think it's a spider and practically give it away.

Hey people! Those of you in BC lower mainland looking for a trak lok lsd. Empire Auto has a couple vehicles with them in it. While they aren't perfect, a little rebuild will have them working much better than open diff. Just in time for winter offroad and ice fishing season:cool:

Wipers, Radio, and A/C Clutch All Dead — Plus Odd Accessory Mode Behavior

I haven't looked up service info for that particular vehicle, but a tipm requires programming because depending on the vehicle configuration it will power different accessories. The bcm, pcm and whatever other modules are applicable need to communicate with the tipm. If they see a mismatched...

    4.10 Re-gearing - 2025

Not sure if you noticed this on your new gears (and old), but there are markings with a number and + and - on them. There are there to be used with the marking on the existing gears and the existing shims (marks are on the pinion of new and old) to allow you to do a calculation that will give a...

    4.10 Re-gearing - 2025

I found highway to be very enjoyable, power up hills is great, much less gear hunting. slightly higher RPM at cruising speed, but i feel that it's not impacting fuel economy, since it would have been in a similar range with the smaller tires and 3.73. The overdrive still loves to stay engaged on...

How do you like the drive so far? I found it gave instant gratification.

    4.10 Re-gearing - 2025

Yeah that works too. I did highway not long after. The main thing is just don't abuse it right out of the gate. Yeah the fronts will just hang out and wear drive and coast side as you drive normally. Will take longer, but they arent used much so the break in isn't as crucial. You're going to...
