Crank no Start
The jeep is not in limp mode. They will run in limp mode. Just not very well. The computer limits what the jeep will be able to do in limp status, but you sure should be able to start it.- DadOSix

Dumb question but … why go thru all that when you could simply put the captive nut on the same side as the old captive head was? Ie - insert the bolt from the front rather than the rear?- DadOSix

Let’s back up and learn why you did a relearn in the first place…. You have so many threads going it is hard to follow. It was a decent idea to put a shot of starting fluid in the intake. Hopefully, it is plug and play at this point after swapping the 07 intake off for the 05. 1 - grounds 2 - harness connections - big plug, route the harness over the engine correctly. There will be connectors for crank position that runs over top and down the right side of the engine and back...- DadOSix

You stated you want to use the 05 harness. I have no idea if there are differences in the sensors between those 2 years. I suggested swapping them - for me, i would - as I ‘knew’ my sensors were good. The donor engine, you have no idea unless you heard the engine run before buying it. Try it...- DadOSix

You are welcome! Final thought on the adapter - If you are near to a junkyard that has some kj or kk jeeps, pull a rail and the associated line from back near the brake booster. You should be gold - 05 and up use the same lower end stuff - early issues with reluctor wheel on the crank and various sensors. Make sure to swap your sensors from the 05 engine to the 07.
