How much additional correction is needed?
I mean, the VSS reads the axle speed (corrected by the r&p ratio already) and the shift points are already set for the vehicle speed (which is now more correct with bigger tires).

Fwiw, we don't all need 4.10. That's a side effect of the auto having a very tall OD ratio.
I regeared from 3.54 to 3.73. (6spd). Swapped complete diffs from an automatic. It was the perfect correction for the tire size change.
I'm running the Teraflex spacer lift with aftermarket control arms. 150,000km since install. Can't complain. I did eventually put in the diesel coils and Rancho struts.
There may be some variation in angle-ability between OEM and various jobber.
Ours is lifted 3", with 3/4" cradle drop. The only time the CVs get 'lumpy' is on the floor jack, and the suspension goes to full droop. These are jobber CVs now - not OEM.
Possibly a bad wheel/bearing sensor?
ABS was optional on the Liberty. Maybe take the option to ignore/defeat it? Been very content with our non-ABS KJ - just sayin.
Because I want all the grip from a trac-lok that I possibly can get. When it's used up, time to upgrade.
Checked my gear oil. It's super-generic 80W90 with a small footnote it meets GL4 and 5 spec.
I would use rather get the conversion joint than disturb the yoke.
If I was disturbing the yoke (or changing pinion seal) I would order a crush-sleeve eliminator in advance. Otherwise, the success of retorquing a used crush sleeve on used bearings is definitely not guaranteed.

You need the big hex tool to slide down the axle tube to adjust the carrier bearings for backlash and pre-load. I made mine with a big nut welded to each end of a length of 1/2" rigid pipe.
I believe '05 is a mid-year change on the bolts for the 8-1/4".
If you get a r&p with 3/8" bolt holes, they it will work with a carrier that has 3/8" holes. Some r&P's have both sets of holes.
The No-slip is silent. It has some synchros that the other lunchboxes don't have.
Edit: Torsen types don't lock up. I have two buddy's that abandoned them for that reason. One was the OEM dodge ram type ('06) and the other was a Ford Motorsport one.
No-slip is a lunchbox style, truly drop in. Spider gears out, locker goes in.
A full carrier replacement like @duderz7 requires proper shimming to get the backlash right.
I had a clunk like that.... It was the CV axle banging around in the housing on the passenger side. New CV, intermediate shaft, and bearing/seal was the fix.
