What did you do to your jeep today?

Get a Dremel and a wide fiber cutoff wheel. Cut a slot across the broken fastener. Use a flat blade screwdriver to remove it. Obviously, doesn't have to be a Dremel. A die grinder works too. Doesn't work for rusted-in fasteners. For those, you weld a nut onto the broken part, immediately after...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Found out that Amazon sent me the wrong diff cover... In December. I should have been after my son to install this thing more than I was. Now there's a $160 diff cover I can't use. Called the maker, maybe they will help me out... He was putting the factory diff cover back on. Using an impact...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Hate to say, but that is unlikely to fix it. It was basically broken on the drawing board. There's no good reason for a clutch in the system.

It's a shit design. There's a ******* CLUTCH in the lever. Absolutely idiocy. I will have a fix soon. But it won't be stock.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Received the wheel spacers to address rhe suspension arm/tire interference, yesterday. I'd put them on, but it's 98 degrees and like 600% humidity (yes I know it's not possible). So, doing that in the yard is not something I'm looking to do today.

Along that line, I am looking for seat covers. I have the factory sport cloth Renegade package seats with cheap covers from the PO. Want something in neoprene, but not trying to spend 400 for Wet Okole....

What did you do to your jeep today?

Took my son to work this morning, as he has a class out of town for the week and doesn't want to leave 'his' XJ there. Discovered that he has an issue that is glazing his brand new serp belt, so instead of using the XJ today, I deadlined it and took it back home til he replaces the alternator...

If you're having trouble sussing this out, try looking the bushing PNs up on O'Reilly, (et Al) and check the details. They should list the ID of the bush in MM and Inch, as well as other relevant details. I am kind of known for putting things together that never came together.. Like my 89 S10...

They are my go-to for anything they make.. Kind of like Moog for suspension parts, and Energy Suspension for bushings. Really don't know why I didn't put their product in 2 months ago. But Friday, I will be.

What did you do to your jeep today?

The blower motor I replaced 2 months ago...is TU already. POS! I don't know what I was thinking, buying a Chinesium brand on Amazon. May have been a situation of 'all I can find in stock'. But now I've ordered a replacement for the replacement. Oh well. I knew it wouldn't be long for the earth...
