Troubleshoot my nonfunctional, brand new, Blower motor - all tests with key in and on, fan motor set to 4.... Tested the input to the fan, with the switch on, and sweeping through all settings other than Off.. 0 volts. Checked the main fuse and relay underhood. Removed and checked for continuity...- burntkat

What sig? Best thing to do is look under the vehicle with the existing wheels and tires. See what your clearance is. Tire sizing is not an exact science (as much as you might think it is, being expressed in millimeters and percentages and all.- burntkat

Changed the oil and filter, checked the wheel spacers, and removed the remains of the wheel well liners in the front. I'm starting to consider building or adapting an off-road bumper front and rear.- burntkat

Probably compared the end pin/bushing types on each end, and the min/max on the length when compressed and extended. This is what everyone does when they have modified their suspension and the new stuff didn't all come from the same manufacturer- burntkat

RTV can work. But FIPG (actually a Toyota standard, but widely adopted elsewhere) is better as it is more tenacious. Best way to get FIPG? Use 'The Right Stuff' (I'm not being witty... That's the name of it)- burntkat

ANY time you need gaskets.... Felpro is the default standard. Are there better? Maybe. It I couldn't for the life of me name them. There are a lot of craptacular gaskets out there. I'd lost the cooling fan a few months back - assumed it was due to the bad part I'd bought. Replaced with a Four Seasons part... And I still have no blower. Fuse in the undeehood, and relay, appear to be fine. I was able to swap the relay with another relay for the rad fan, without the problem...- burntkat

That's a McPherson strut you're describing. Rest assured, the KJ DOES use front struts. At leaat my 05 does. They aren't a McPherson strut, no, in that it's not an alignment/structural part of the assemblage.- burntkat

This is roughly what I aim to do, off the 231 t-case, with an electric brake unit off a Tesla or similar electric e-brake (VW comes to mind). Will post up when I have it all figured. I need to fab the bracket, figure out mount points, and the logic gates for the power to it. If at all possible...- burntkat

Cold whistling vacuum leak 07 Liberty passenger firewall area.
Sounds like a broken hose in the vacuum motor. A good way to find this would be to invest in or build a smoke pot. Been looking at this one, myself. It doesn't need to be expensive. I've built them out of paint cans and an old tee shirt before, but those never seem to last...- burntkat
