I'm not looking through all 20 pages, but has anyone replaced the other end, the diff end, of the front DS? I have pulled the cap off and removed the snap ring and it ain't sliding off. I pulled the boot down and there doesn't appear to be a clip or another snap ring. There's a lot of grease...- eyehatetofu

Finally got around to fixing my steering problem. Pretty sure the inner tie rod was damaged when my LBJ broke; sure enough a new one fixed my issue. Now no more loose and twitchy steering. Replaced my damaged ABS sensor as well. Still have to replace the passenger side one, but the part...- eyehatetofu

Looked at those but cost to much. Debated about getting another red top but ended up getting a Bosch platinum AGM for $130 and some change.was $200 but pep boys had 30% off and then a $20 rebate. $120 cheaper than the diehard and $70 less than a red top. So I got codes: P0562- Battery voltage low P0700- EATX Controller DTC Present / Internal TCM P0740- Torque Converter Clutch, No RPM Drop @ Lockup Not looking fun for me. With some searching it seems P0700 is a generic trans code and therefore P0740 goes along with that. Am I correct...- eyehatetofu

What did you do to your jeep today?
I filled up with $1.89 gas. Filled the tank for $38; it felt like a Christmas miracle. :D I honestly cant remember the last time gas was less than 2 bucks a gallon. Really hope prices stay low for a bit.- eyehatetofu

ABS/ESP time
But... the sensors are about 20 bucks and take about 15 minutes to change out. Worth trying especially if there is visible damage to one of the wires.- eyehatetofu

Ahhhh, I have been back in there before, about a month ago actually. Didn't know it was called that though. Depending on what way you exit you come out right across the street from the mine. Are you talking about the trails near the mine itself or the dirt road section of Vulture Mine Rd? Either way the conditions are pretty good. I run 18-20 psi with my P rated mall terrains without issue. I was just out there last Monday north of the mine. There has been some grading done to...- eyehatetofu

Well finally got my jeep all buttoned up since my ball joint debacle. New Moog LBJ, and a new Napa reman CV. Feels good to have the old girl roadworty again. Definitely don't want anything like that to happen again.- eyehatetofu

Didn't happen today but yesterday. Replaced my drivers side LBJ... in the middle of the desert. Old ball joint snapped at the stud. Mangled my cv shaft and fawked up my fender when it let go on the trail. Had to hike 4-5 miles out and flag down a passer by; luckily for me there was a county road...- eyehatetofu

fluid from rear axle, wheelbearing?
Timken makes a seal and bearing unit. Makes it easier to press in just the one unit vs a new bearing and a seal. More Information for TIMKEN TRP1559TV I just replaced both sides last week with the aforementioned part. Seems like a quality solid unit.- eyehatetofu

The Jesus one? :icon_twisted: Well, attempted to change out my u-joints, but they ain't budging. Managed to smash my finger with a hammer in the process. Will try again in the morning when the swelling goes down and my pride and ego heal. :D- eyehatetofu

Which U-Joints?
Just went out and measured and from one side of the flange to the other is 3.5 inches and considering they are recessed I am going to guess I need the 3.2 inch ones. Thanks for the replies everybody. (Cheers)- eyehatetofu

Ok, front and back are the same but there are two different sizes listed for the same application: 3.2" and 3.6". So both sizes will work? Bigger is always better right? :D Can't do the Dana ones, need to get this fixed yesterday, can't wait for shipping and no place around here carries...- eyehatetofu
