New to the site, new to KJs. ALREADY PARTING IT OUT!!!

Hello Everybody, I recently bought a 2002 Jeep Liberty, and it threw a rod out of the engine to thank me! Sooo, I tried to find an engine on Craigslist, Ebay, junkyards, etc, etc. Of course (miraculously) they all have 50-60 thousand miles (so all Libertys are only driven about 5000 miles a year?). All cost $1000-$1500. I would never just buy a junkyard engine and just swap it out without freshening it up (new pistons, bore, bearings, water pump, etc.). This would cost approx. another $1000-$1500, plus about 30+ hours. I don't think it's worth doing. So now I have a parts car.

I'm parting it out. It's a 2002 Sport. It's a total loss to me except for what I can recoup in parts, so I'm not giving parts away. The engine is obviously not available, niether is the trans, tailgate, rear window, and rear bumper. I would like to sell whole assemblies like the front end clip as one. Also, I will not sell one small part like a window motor, it goes with the door. I am not a bussiness, so I don't do shipping often, I will in some situatins though. If you insist on shipping, my zip code is 19702, so YOU can check the cost of shipping from YOUR shipper. I tried to post it in the for sale section, but was not allowed to. I will try to do that again and list some prices.

I am expecting the forum people to have a higher IQ than Craigslist, so intelligent questions only PLEASE!

Are there skidplates on it?

Are skid plates rare? Seems like everyone who parts one people ask for them.

For the earlier KJ some are discontinued. Not really rare, but uncommon.
