So I purchased an 06 Jeep Liberty Renegade recently. I am not getting any sound out of the Driver Side Rear Speaker. It's not blown as I swapped it over to the Passenger Side Rear and it works.

It must be a connection or power problem. Has anyone dealt with a problem like this before? Are there any fuses I that could have blown?

I've searched the forums but can't seem to find anyone who has had the same problem.

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you have a six speaker system (dash tweeters/front doors/rear doors) then the rear speaker wiring goes thru the front door speakers. Pull the driver side door speaker and check the outputs for the rear speaker.

These should be the colors for a 2006:

Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Red
Radio Ignition Switched 12V+ Wire: Pink/Yellow
Radio Ground Wire: Black/Light Green
Radio Illumination Dimmer Wire: Orange/Brown
Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A
Radio Amplifier Trigger Wire: N/A
Front Speakers Size: N/A
Front Speakers Location: N/A
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Dark Green
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Dark Green/Brown
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Gray
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Gray/Brown
Rear Speakers Size: N/A
Rear Speakers Location: N/A
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Dark Green/Dark Blue
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Dark Green/Orange
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Gray/Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Gray/Orange

Ok so I check the wiring on the aftermarket head unit. No
Problems there. Speaker still not getting any power. Swapped it to the other side. Works fine on the Rear right side if I move it there.

Any other ideas?

It appears to be an open wire to the speaker.

Found the problem! After a lot of head scratching and testing with the ohms meter I discovered that a pin connector was bent in the aftermarket wiring harness. Rear positive to be exact. Bent it back and reconnected working great now.

Thanks for the help!

Do you have an aftermarket stereo? Have you checked to make sure that the wiring from the head unit to the wiring harness check oust and nothing is loose?

Could be that your tweeter is the problem.
