please note: that we ENCOURAGE everyone to always wear their seatbelts. If you disable the seatbelt warning chime, it's at your own disgretion, and we are not responsible for anything that might happen if you get into a bit of a trifle and not have your seatbelt on.

Thanks

Is there any way to fix the links?

(I have turned off the "honk when locking" and the seatbelt ding already and wanted to read these articles. :D)

Here is how to do it, I got this from the Owner's manual on line from the Jeep website.

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. The manufacturer does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and
buckle the driver’s or front passenger seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/RUN position
(engine does not need to be running), and wait for
the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver’s or front passenger seat
belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with
the seat belt buckled.
4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single
chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.
NOTE: Although the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning
Light will continue to illuminate while the driver’s or
front passenger seat belt remains unfastened.

There is also a link in the KJ HOW TO section on tweaking the locking and horn sounding settings via the key fob.

the door open with key on is a PITA, but I figured out that if you have the key turned to ACC or ON and you pull the key out a little bit, then the dinging stops. try it and see if it works

Is anyone succeded in disabling seatbelt DINGs in `03 ? 2004+ method don't work for me, tried it many times. it looks like 2003 has some special seatbelt alarm system, comparing to 2002 and 2004+. it has no voice, just 5 loud DINGs.
So, I guess, my only chance to shut the freaking thing is to mess with seatbelt clutch wiring, making it believe belt is always fastened? I'm not against a seatbelt, I do wear it all the time, I just hate those DINGs.
