Rear Tone Ring for ABS Sensor

So... wanted to give an update since there's a lot of threads where the OP never responds. Didn't have time to deal with it due to a couple projects that came up at work so dropped it off at an independent shop. They replaced the ABS sensor again. The lights stayed off but ABS would engage...

Rear Tone Ring for ABS Sensor

@timg Thanks for the help! Will be getting the jeep back up and running this weekend. Going to definitely try and do the ebrake while I'm at it. No sense in not doing it. It's crazy how little support the KJ gets from aftermarket and even by Jeep themselves. Glad this forum is here. :D

Rear Tone Ring for ABS Sensor

@timg Appreciate the help. This is what I was afraid of. :( Was hoping it was going to be easier to get to or there was a hub I didn't see or something. :( Unfortunately the HoA is super strict and will not be happy about me doing this kind of work in my driveway. Can't pull it into the...

Rear Tone Ring for ABS Sensor

I have a 2006 Jeep liberty in which there is an ABS sensor for each wheel in the rear. My ESP, trac control, and ABS light are all on. I took it to the shop and they scanned it and the code indicated the ABS sensor in the rear passenger side was bad. I replaced that and the lights are still...

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

True. That's a fair statement. The lift has made the jeep a lot more fun. Really should have came from the factory that way. ??? There's a clone?

    Rear Window Striker

You need to use something that is meant to bond to glass... Gorilla glue is not going to cut it. Neither is super glue. My guess would be you need the stuff they use when replacing windshields. Head over to your Autozone/Advance auto/o'riely's/etc. and pick up some sika or whatever they...

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

Tune is going to be either with HPtuner or SCT. Gearing is in the process of being sourced. Hopefully... Have not looked into cams since I haven't really seen anyone do this yet on the KJ. Goal is to do this one thing at a time. I'm in no rush. MBRP exhaust will be purchased as soon...

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

Yep. That would be the goal. Idea would be... Keep the stock intake and bore out the throttle body. Next would be headers and exhaust. Currently thinking JBA (not that there's another options) headers and MBRP exhaust. Down the line... ATI crank pulley. Don't plan on...

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

Ah. Yeah the cable throttle bodies do not swap. only the electronic drive by wire ones do. Someone on this site tried it already with the cable ones. :(

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

Do you have that list? I didn't see it. I posted there a while back on using a 4.7 throttle body and someone said you'd have to drill new mounting holes and everything. I'm in a 2006. I know the 2008+ with the drive by wire were a bolt on... but someone said for the KJ, it would not be.

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

Lol neither so far. Still throwing around the idea of boring it out myself.

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

Currently waiting for Dan to get back so that I can order a bored out throttle body. In the mean time, found out about HipoTek. Does anyone know what size the Fastman throttle body is bored out to? Also, any experiences with Hipotek? Dan seems to have been away for a while this last...

    OME/Bilstein lift - it's time

Did you make a bracket to lower the rear brake lines? If so, any pictures?

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

Mine was loose. I was able to install both sides without having to struggle or get a 2x4. One side fell out... the other side did not... I ordered another one... but no idea how to get it to stay. I think I may spray it down with plastidip and while the plastidip is still wet, install...

Differential Gear Oil- Synth or Dino

I think synthetic is better overall as it is more heat resistant and some synthetics have more/better additives. If you use a synthetic that meets the recommended Jeep specifications, I don't see how it would be worse. I have limited knowledge about Jeeps though.
