    Power steering whine?

I've changed three of these. The hoses leak at the connections and the pumps sometimes go bad. I buy a rebuilt pump with reservoir and pulley. My 05's pulley would never come off in one piece. Don't even try. Spend the extra eight bucks. In 05 at least , there were two types of return...

    2004 Liberty Control Shift Cable

Check ebay. I bought one there last year. Also note that if the bushing in the end of it is worn out, the part that snaps over the stud in the transmission or shifter arm is replaceable. An aftermarket part is made for this and is available on Amazon and ebay. I used a replacement bushing in...

Is the high pressure steering hose on the '05 and '06 the same?

I had two '05's. Both had the same high pressure hoses. The low pressure hoses differed between them. One had an end on it, the other a spring clamp.

    How To Starter Replacement

Just for the record, I've changed starters in several 3.7L 2005's. Removed the front drive shaft and didn't have to touch the exhaust.

    2005 Key Won't Program

I've programmed many replacement keys for my daughter's 2005 Liberty. But now it won't program any more. I've cut several keys and gone through the routine that worked formerly. The keys just won't program. The shop manual has the program routine but lacks any in depth information. Does...

Oil pressure warning light 2005 Jeep Liberty

Just did the job on a 2005 3.7. Here are some tips. Use the Mopar sensor. It's $40 and you'll only do the job once. It uses the same 1-1/16" socket as the one you're removing. A Chinese one will probably need a 26mm socket or something as well as the 27mm. Save a lot of swearing and remove...

Transmission cooler line replacement. How to line routing?

My 2005 went in without pulling the radiator. Wasn't easy and you have to take advantage of the flexible parts to bend it when placing it. Did it years ago, so I don't recall the details. Took a little while and a little patience.

    Cat back exhaust

The problem is reflected in more than car parts. We live in a nation where the middle and lower economic classes are going broke. Government is inflating the currency at record rates, so there is a larger demand for cheap stuff. We work on our cars. Where I live, in New York, only illegal...

    Cat back exhaust

Maybe it's a New York thing. Mine never lasted. Even Walker's own web site says their "premium line's" lifespan is 2 - 3 years.. They don't even mention their regular line. Read their own words: https://www.walkerexhaust.com/support/exhaust-101/why-exhaust-systems-wear-out.html

    Cat back exhaust

If you use the Walker junk, drill a 1/8" hole at each end of the muffler to let the water out. No added noise at all but without them the muffler will rot out in less than two years.

    Power steering fluid blew out.

When my hose was leaking, it very much looked like the rack, because it drips right down. Was very hard to tell.
