Yes I drilled my crossmember in early 2005 on my new 2004 , guess what it lasted longer , WAY LONGER , than ones I installed with correct skid /crossmember with the cheap a^^ rivnuts , since it was way stronger well last being drug over rocks/ trees for over 17 years until I sold it my hobby...
