    03 Liberty In The Shop

I think that's criminal... $900 would be EXPENSIVE. $1200 is not just robbery, but **** as well IMO.... ask the service manager for a kiss to go along with the ****ing you're getting. I admit that I'm very easy on the brakes, but the stock pads in my TJ lasted until somewhere around 75K...

Latest Gas Mileage report... almost 3K miles on my '05 now.

23!!!!! Dang... and I thought *I* was a pretty good driver. Is yours not a 4x4? I take it you have the 3.7L also...? Luis

Handlebar above the glove-box to older models

That handle isn't there for the DRIVER.... it's there for the poor passenger to hang onto when that wild hair hits the driver. Around here it's called the "Oh-$h1T" handle. Luis

Latest Gas Mileage report... almost 3K miles on my '05 now.

Just got back from a weekend trip out of town... Still very impressed with the new Libby. Ran flawlessly just like since the day I got it. about 3/4 highway mileage this weekend with the majority of that being on the Interstate cruising with the windows up and the air turned on at the whopping...

    Help ! My gas mileage ***** !

ok... just ran the #'s for my last tank of gas (figured by dividing mileage between last fillup and this one, by gallons used)..... 337.1 miles and 17.95 gal. 18.78 mpg. About 3/4 highway, 1/4 around town. Next tank should be a little better... mostly highway mileage. Luis

Can't turn in 4 wheel mode..

I thought you were just supposed to keep it under 25 or 30 while in 4WD LOW. I don't remember, but you'll know what speed not to exceed anyway just by watching your tachometer... LOL I don't think I've ever exceeded about 20 mph in 4LOW. Luis

2005 Jeep Liberty Rocky Mountain Edition Problem

First I heard of it... (not that that means much)... but I've not had that problem with mine yet. Sounds like a transmission problem of some sort for sure to me... I'd take it in and demand that they fix it. Luis

    Help ! My gas mileage ***** !

On an 05?? Going easy on the throttle??? YOU need to get that thing checked... I think there's GOT to be something wrong. There's NO WAY that our mileage should differ THAT much.... in fact, we ought to be getting almost identical mileage except for the elevation factor. Luis

    Help ! My gas mileage ***** !

You guys must have a heavy foot for the accelerator, or else something needs to be checked..... I just got the worst mileage yet out of my last tank of gas at 14.55 mpg for 19.5 gallons...(I usually average ~18.5, half city, half hwy)... but only AFTER TOWING MY 3500 lb BOAT for OVER HALF THE...

    Wheel locks for 2005 Liberty?

I don't have any wheel locks... I leave the tire cover on to slow a thief down, and while I don't worry about anybody messing with it here at work (it's right outside the door), at home, I back my Jeep up til the rear tire is ALMOST touching the garage door... would be awfully difficult to steal...

    Offset backspacing on stock wheels???

FWIW... the standard Wranglers (TJ's) have 5.5" backspacing (not offset)... this includes the Rubicon's... I've seen people doing a straight switch of this rim (16" for the Rubicon) to a KJ... that's why I suspect it's got the same backspacing of 5.5".... I seem to recall reading this elsewhere...

    1st Stuck

[-X You guys are funny. I really like this new KJ, BUT... I'll tell you in a heartbeat that if that TJ had MUD tires and a limited slip (or better) in either axle, he'd have walked right through that pit, and had NO trouble pulling you out. Of course, in all fairness... if the KJ had MUD...

    2007 Jeep Gladiator

Looks pretty awesome... I'd rather see it with the 3.7 than the diesel though. I just don't know if I could bring myself to pony up $28K for it..... that's a lotta $$ for a mid size pickup. I SURE like the 33" tires though!!! Luis

(BFG AT TA-KO) vs (Bridgestone Dueller AT REVO)

Yeah... but if (like me) you tend to occasionally run those tires over things you shouldn't... it's GREAT to have the built in "rim protector - lip" that the BFG's have. Can you say "never damaged rims"? Luis
