Rear suspension or axle clunk when getting on or off the gas.

I prefer the overall manufacturing and ride quality of Bilsteins or KYB on all my vehicles (Jeep, Toyota and Dodge Ram) and am willing to spend the cake to get them over Monroe or Rancho … That said, ANY new shock will be a definite improvement over old worn shocks.

    Deeke's upper control arms?

@StueyD and others..thanks for posting about your install issues with these cheap Deekes UCAs. That kind of detailed feedback is ALSO what makes this forum so great. That said, of course the JBA uca's do not have ANY of these fitment problems that MIGHT be solved by eliminating washers, or...

Rear upper control arm wont go in all the way

I did the same, a jack under the rear end and a slight rotation and it slipped right in. Kind of just like … oops wife just walked in ;)

    Deeke's upper control arms?

+ = thumbs up @duderz7 You know you're on a really good forum when the second post in a thread nails it. ;)

What did you do to your jeep today?

I put one on Giddyup when I got her for the drain plug and extra capacity…any additional cooling would be a bonus. That said, it is a sturdy, nicely cast and also well machined piece of aluminum. IIRC uses a nice O-ring to seal as well, though IMO there was no reason to spend extra $ for the...

    Overheated now this!

Sorry to say that it sure looks like that residue in oil is the result of either a blown head gasket or cracked head to me. Either can happen from over heating. :(

Turns out that both Valvomax and Fumoto sell their easy oil drain valves for the KJ CRD with a 3/8" pipe thread for the oil pan. When held right up against the OEM drain plug, the 3/8" pipe thread was damn close to the bastard M16.4-1.33, with the exception of being tapered. That being the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Today I managed to strip the threads of the oil pan while replacing the drain plug for a 10k oil change. I wish that I could blame some grease monkey at the dealership, but turns out that I AM the grease monkey. I did some reading on LostJeeps in order to determine the bastard Italian...

    Rear Upper Control Arm (Boomerang)

I see that they also offer it with a rubber bushing as an option… Any idea if it will work with a stock height KJ ?

What did you do to your jeep today?

In order to finish off the in tank LP install, I drilled a hole in the unibody, behind the drivers seat and under the carpet, for the new lift pump ground connection. I scraped the paint back but also used a couple of small "star" lock washers to better lock the wire unto the bare metal. Hooked...

Bulb keeps burning out and breaking, anyone know why?

You need to check the ground connections for the tail light on that side and make sure its solid. Bad grounds can cause all sorts of problems, including voltage surges that can burn out filaments.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yesterday I pressure washed Giddyups underside to prevent as much dirt as possible from falling into my eyes as I dropped her fuel tank in order to install the new Lift Pump. I also used a swivel ratchet adapter with an extension and impact driver to loosen the tank straps, so I did NOT have to...

While there are advantages and disadvantages to either type of fan depending on vehicle use (ie towing vs commuter or highway vs city), it is important to note that by the time you can get electric fans to push as much air as a mechanical/clutch/belt driven fan you are talking about a whole...
