Great pics. I too was in MT this summer for vacation. We stayed just outside of Yellowstone in Silver Gate. That was the small town before you got into Cooke City. Beautiful area of the country. We flew into BIllings and drove the Beartooth Pass. What a great trip. Ill try to post up ome...
OK. I'll run the Dodge tomorrow and get the boys at Sears to pop in the new stud. I understand about them not using outside parts. I just found it funny that he was talking to the same guy that I bought the part from and paid the same amount for. I think the guy was a little put out that...
TBJ - it's a 94 with the V6 3.0 ! That's how I roll
I stopped at Sears & they wanted $55 to put in the stud and they wouldn't use the one I had bought. The guy stood at the counter & called autozone in front of me and said that the part was $2. I told the guy that's what I paid at...
TBJ - I have read disk brakes. I removed the caliper & rotor & there was not enough room behind the hub to get the new stud in.
I have about a 400 mile round trip tomorrow & I'm debating whether to take the KJ or the Dodge Spirit.
I had a flat tire the other day on the back passenger wheel. I pulled off the flat and replaced with the spare and when I was tightening up the lug nuts, one got cross threaded. I pulled the wheel back off and tried to re-thread the lug back on. It got stuck part way one and I ended up...
kbOnly - I had one of those wiring harnesses. The wiring got against the exhaust pipe and melted the insulation. So I replaced it with this current harness. I guess I'll go back to the other type again.
Any idea why the type that attaches at the tail light has problems? I don't see any...
I was told that my drivers side tail light was out. I put in a new buld and that didn't fix things. I pulled out the #7 fuse and saw that it was bad. Replaced it and the light worked. A day later the light is out again so I'm guessing that I have a short somewhere. Can someone make a...
OK, thanks for the info. It also seems like the 7 pin wiring gets connected to a brake controller? I'll have to see if they make a wiring harness for that too.
Does it involve finding and splicing wires or does it plug into exsitiig connections like the flat 4 plug did? I'm not sure how the brake controller works either.
I have a class III hitch and a 4 flat trailer plug on the Jeep now that I installed myself. I have an 18' camper to tow and need to get a round 7 pin wiring and a brake controller installed. Are these things that I can do myself or does it require a shop to install? The 4 flat was an easy...
