Doing this mod in a 05 KJ CRD
Thanks to myjeepwalks for the great write up. I finally got around to doing this mod today after having the PDF stored on my laptop for two years. The relay is the same but the wires from the multifunction switch are a narrower gauge and are a different color on...
There is of course no obligation for anyone to run their tires at the proper pressure (fully inflated) but since this thread has to do with MPG gains it has been proven to be a good way to achieve more efficiency. Many thousands of drivers have been doing it for many years without catastrophic...
Break given. We like to have a lot of fun talking trash to each other here.
I still have to point out that you are mistaken about the price of BD being linked to the cost of the feed stock. When I checked today the price of bulk soy oil was ~$1.58 per gallon. Add in the cost of reactants...
Amen!
Modern tires are constructed in such a way the tread surface itself has very little ability to bulge in or out like a balloon. By raising the pressure to the max rated or even slightly over, tire wear is changed very little. Many people still use the old "trick" of marking the tire with a...
I too like to consider myself a posterboy for the toughness of the CRD. I laugh at anybody who makes sweeping statements about the fragility of the CP3 injection pumps like, how they will fail if there is anything but diesel in them, or how B100 will melt them. Some people have even come out and...
40 bucks with shipping is not bad.

Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for assembly and installation for the SEGR kit. I"m getting a friend to solder it up for me but lost the instructions somewhere between two moves and 1000 miles. I've had the stupid thing for almost two years now and have yet to get it put in. sad2.gif
Thanks Tony and Blu, but I already had that PDF. What i am interested in is simply running the foggy feed from the side markers or something similar. I want to compare the two mods and decide which might be easier. I know that the marker light splice would remove the choice to switch the foggys...
Absolutely no doubt about that. I was simply making the point that it more common than one might think. All automotive manufacturers have quirks with their products. Sometimes the problems just don't start to show up until a few years after production. Chrysler did know about the valve issue...
1 problem here.

9 different people in this thread had the same problem (not all 02 models either)

2 folks here have it on newer models...
