the cone is made of compressed saw dust with that fabric glued over the top. it looks like the glue was bad they used. It won't do anything if you use it but alpine should deff cover it. even if you over powered it by double it would smoke the coil and not delaminate the cone like that.

the alpines are built better I've been doing car audio for 10 years, played around with both a little bit. I like how the alpines sound better as well
