I like them. I have the same tires on my 2005 KJ. The sidewall isn't as rigid as others. I'm told that makes for a better off road experience but honestly my jeeps see very little off road activity. I buy them for the wet road, snow, and ice traction people seem to rate them high with. No...
Installed some new rubber jeep floor mats all around in my 2006. They color match the carpet perfectly. Also bought new tires yesterday, not installed yet (Michelin LTX AT2 x 5).
A week or so ago I finally bought a front license plate bracket. Been driving for a year without so I thought I...
Hmmm... Is it a coincidence that right after I post about being busy you post not one but two different times about being 'too busy'?
I'd love to spend all my time tinkering with my jeeps making sure every little thing that I can give my attention to is done. As soon as I find someone who...
I had mine done on 3/24/12. I was at the dealer for some brakes on the '05 and they asked if they could go ahead and take care of the recall. Lucky me, I didn't even have to be inconvenienced by having to go back a second time. Got my notice for the recall last week.
As it was explained to...
Hmmm... I was just about to order the Steiger part for my right rear window on the '06. I wonder if I should now, or take a chance at Jeep fixing it. The VIN tells me it was manufactured right before they switched parts, and they no longer manufacture the regulator for mine so if they try to...
I've been looking at the Cooper Discoverer AT3s as well. In fact last fall when I was calling around for the grabber at2s one guy tried to get me to buy the Coopers but I had my heart set on the grabbers so I passed up a good deal.
Wonder how they handle in snow. I may go out and look at...
I just went through the same thing. I even called general tire to see when they would start shipping the grabbers again since everyone says they are just back ordered. They told me they would be shipping in the spring so I made it through winter and emailed general to see if they were shipping...
Took the rear right door panel off and raised the window up then secured the bracket it sits in so my window is closed until I get a metal bracket (bracket? lol) to fix it for real with... That was the '06.
A few days ago for my '05 I had new rotors in front and new pads all around...
Did you ever find out what the problem was? I only have one key to my '06. The other day I was at the dealer getting brake work and a recall fixed on the '05 and and since I was there I inquired with the service guy how much could I expect to pay to buy a new key w/remote fob from them. I...
2004-2005 Liberties being recalled for LCA fractures in salt belt states. Just them replaced last weekend on my '05. Reading your original post made me wonder if you were using OME, and whether anyone would warn you if you were buying the ones now being recalled.
I'm a newby and not entirely sure what 'LRR' is supposed to mean, but last fall I had a set of Michelin - LTX® A/T2 (235/70R16) installed on my '05 KJ. I'm very happy with them and will be installing them on my'06 KJ before winter.
Hey Guitarzan, just noticed we're practically neighbors!
Thanks! Hasn't done it since, been driving it regularly. (knock on wood) Have noticed when stopped that I can hear a whisper like whine and the rpms do drop right as that is happening. I think I'll take it in to be looked at just to be careful.
Speaking of wierd things... On my way home today from filling the gas tank I'm on a downhill incline, I had the air up a liitle so I reached down and turned the blower down to low then right after as I'm turning into my driveway my KJ dies. That's never happened before. Started right back up...
