A year had passed since the bases of the tread blocks on my Nankang MT tires started cracking, so I replaced them with Duraturn HT tires. They look reasonably rugged from the front, but a bit puny from the side. I must be careful not to drive on muddy roads.- ikuo78

2005 No Bus issue - need help

The HD's electric fan and the standard electric fan are different, so it will be interesting to see what happens if the viscous fan is removed from the HD. Thank you. The tires are Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6. 31x10.5R15. The wheels are steel wheels called Daytona in Japan. Daytona wheels for summer tires are made in the USA, but those for winter tires are made in China. Blizzak is said to be the least slippery tire in Japan.- ikuo78

That's right. In Japan, it's common to replace winter tires every three seasons, even if they're not worn down. Most people probably only use them for around 15,000 km. What did you do to your jeep today?
I changed to studless winter tires. When new, their hardness is said to be 45-55A. Because there are many sipes, the blocks have low rigidity and are extremely soft. Since it's all about softness, it can only be used for about 3-4 seasons.- ikuo78

Valve cover gaskets
It's a good idea to wash the exhaust manifold with water once. It's possible that a lot of oil got on it when you replaced the gasket. I used a parts cleaner with a long nozzle to clean the underside of the manifold as well.- ikuo78
