Every once in a while, my remote entry system stops responding to the remote. The Jeep is only 2 months old, so I doubt it is the battery. When it happens, I have to open the door, and then start the Jeep. As soon as I do that, the key will start working again. Anyone have this happen, or...

I have all the parts to do this, and am about to pull the trigger. I have a couple of questions: 1) How did you mount the retainer? I was planning on using 3M Red Tape 2) How did you line up the retainer? I have nightmares about it winding up at some odd angle that would drive me nuts...

Don't forget that it is not necessarily limited by the physical strength of the hardware, I suspect the factory's greatest concern is the effect on the center of gravity of having 100+ pounds mounted that high up.

2004 Wrangler X, fairly basic but it did come with the Factory Optional "DeathWobble" which is what drove me to trade the thing in. Hitting a bump at freeway speed was always an adventure!

For any one interested here are a couple of pictures of the bracket that you need to install under the headliner in the 2005 I now have all the parts assembled, and if it ever stops raining in Connecticut i will try the install.

Add me to the list. I'm not sure what these tires were designed for, but gripping the pavement was clearly not a high priority. Just like the Goodyears that came stock on my old Wrangler, the Liberty tires squeel at the slightest provocation and are useless on wet roads. I can't wait for...
