    Front power windows acting flaky

Not sure if your problem is actuator motor related, but if it is and you need to replace the unit I just did it to mine, and it was a breeze to do. I got the actuator off Amazon, and it dropped right in and is working fine now. The symptoms of my issue were the window went down then it wouldn't...

    Help me pick new tires!

I took Mudd's suggestion last fall and am very happy with them. For such an aggressive tire they're super quiet and seem to be wearing perfect. Holding balance is another plus. I don't think you can go wrong with these. Oh, and they're very competitively priced, too. I think I paid about $150...

How to reinstall side mirror glass

Just a thought. You can pick up a brand-new unheated mirror housing for under $25.00 each side. Google "jeep liberty side mirror" and a page of places to buy them come up. I replaced my non-heated mirrors with heated mirrors for a couple of bucks more than that. The wiring is there, just not...

Another question about a weird rattle in my 2003 Jeep Liberty

I went through three "NEW" tensioners before I found one that worked. Bring it back and exchange it for another one until you find a good one. They are super easy to change.

    Hey all

Welcome, Looking good. I just put General Grabber A/T on mine. They ride nice and are quiet for an aggressive tire.

KJ reliability over the long haul

Agreed. 66 and still riding a Harley and I squeal the tires on my Vette. When I can't get out of bed, then I'm a senior. If you move fast enough, it won't catch up.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yes everything in the front end is new. I actually replaced the entire front drive shaft/CV joint setup. Oh, and it's an auto trans. Only bearings left to change are the rear axle bearings, carrier bearing and output shaft bearing, I think. Oh and I replaced using new factory coils and shocks...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Had the tires put on this morning. Still has the vibration starting at around 40mph and goes up to 50 mph. When they had the tires off the ground I rotated the rear wheels and it felt a little gritty, but it could have been the parking brake shoes. My mind can play tricks on me sometimes. I...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Having these General Grabber A/TX installed Saturday. I had all wheels balanced which took a lot of the vibration out, but I still have some remaining. My tire guy showed me some out of round in two of the old tires and related it to what I'm feeling. He told me to wait until spring and put new...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Oh, and I tightened up all the bolts on the front sway bars and changed the 2 rubber mounts on the crossmember. They were making a groaning sound when I turned the wheels sharp. Now no more noise. I still have a slight vibration in the steering wheel above 35 mph. I think it's the 6 year old...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Wired in a 4 pin plug to go with the tow bar. This should be adequate to pull my small trailer carrying my ice fishing sled and tent this winter.

Trials and tribulations of my Liberty

"bolt". I think it's one of the shock bolts. It's funny when it parses what it interprets as a naughty word. :D
